Just tested the Fluence. Sorry, but my heart is sold to the 408T.

Fluence road noise and stability is not up to my liking. I'm calling it the wobbler... Lol

As for mazda, it's a beautiful car as well, with the added technology I'm sold with that as well, but the pug is much more affordable, and spare parts and maintenance for Mazda ain't cheap anyway.

My concern with the pug is, after service!
*
Yes Fluence is quite a looker. I'm surprised on the stability, especially since you feel it's a wobbler. The chassis is Conti,i'd expect stability! Long term maintenance would be cheaper on this engine, being an NA.

Btw just as a matter of interest, how much is M3 regular maintenance?

When you read Pug old threads, your concerns of Nassim after sales service are valid. That has improved by huge margine now. I'm at the end of 4th year of ownership on my 408t, not a single complaint on service and warranty claims on my car. Very important to note, all warranty issues were satisfactorily fixed 1st time, for all of us. Reading this thread from V1, you'd realize none of us had to go back on the same issues reoccurring. Credit has to be given to after sales too!

I'm not saying there's no room for improvement. Well done Nazism, continue to tighten the slack!

About RM200 if you service outside every 10,000km. New M3 are covered by 3 years/60K km free maintenance. There doesn't seem to be any expensive maintenance schedule costing thousands like Pug every 60,000 km.

Speaking as an owner of 308, for those that are really...really...really planning to buy peugeot you better prepare your money and more importantly mental. And especially after the car is 5 years old. And know what parts that is expected to fail after above 5 years.

I remember another 308 owner posted his maintenance cost for 308 at about RM10K a year and that was by postphoning some repairs to the following year. If this is typical for maintaining a 308 may as well be maintaining a second hand Merc or BMW.

Maintenance cost of 308 is totally irrelevant here. 308 engine had hordes of problems. 408t comes with a different engine. This engine carries 8 mods addressing reliability issues. This version of Prince has proved itself reliable, 2014 all PSA 1.6THP petrol vehicles with this engine. The facelift Pugs now come with a further enhanced version.

I have listed the 8 mods at pg 1, for information.

My 308 do not have any issues on the engine. But other than that such as cooling coil, turbo coolant pump, thermostat and etc that I believe shares the same part as 408. And some of it might due to the design issue such as the thermostat.
And fyi, for last year alone I have forked out almost 20k for the maintenance. I just share my experience so you guys know what to expect.
And I have no issue or whatsoever for the first 4 years.

U mean you did your first service at 4500km instead of 2500km (plus minus 500km)?
I am not too sure whether your warranty is still valid. They will pick up the tiniest issue to void your warranty.

Guys, a new 408T is Rm86k now? Comes with 5 years warranty, 5 years free service?

My 408T is about > 2.5 years now, enjoy the driving very much. Is it worthwhile to trade it in for a new 408T? How much can I trade in for?

I try to trade in my car but need to top up another 10k for it. End up I just bought another car just to reduce the running cost so that the 308 will be my weekend car.

and here we can see the biggest dumb ass of all.

people talk about peugeot be come n compare persona. bro does your brain reside in your butt? i just wrote that i spent 10k in 2015 and 7k in 2016. do i seem like the sort of poorfag who needs to take public transport?

my one time decarbon already cost as much as your persona major service. bet u don't even know what is decarbon.

peace? More like PISS off

Seeing figure of 10-20K annual maintenance being thrown around here really make me feel like cutting my loss soon. With that type of budget I might as well upgrade to F30. At least I have a peace of mind for the first 5 years before maintenance cost hit me like a tonnes of bricks whistling.gif

Hope you can share the receipt. In this group, these info are useful for reference especially for 408T users.
