Pug SC quote me rear brake pad at RM600 incl labor
Can i replace it outside or must get from tge SC?

brake pad is wear and tear item .. should can change at outside ..

i been told by geotauto that everything relate to aircond is not part of extended warranty...for extended warranty only cover engine and gearbox. so 3+2 warranty is big BS,plus geotauto also tell me that under extended warranty,you cant claim 100% for example gearbox cost 15k so insurance only pay 8k the rest you pay yourself. Dont shoot me if wrong,that what the service center tell me

Yes but the part is very pricy for example service adviser tell me 408 compressor cost around 6 - 8k...i just change my car compressor before 3rd year warranty over...now i need prepare to change coil

I thought i saw some members in this forum got their compressors or cooling coil (I forgot) changed under the extended warranty?

Looks like this extended warranty depends on luck,cos some bro managed to claim air con parts!
I am also confused already cos the book covers engine & gb only!

I think the key point is that you rely heavily on your car.

I have a 408T. To put it simply, if you are on a 9 to 5 job, without a second back-up car at home, late for work is no-no thing to happen (or even taking urgent leave). This Pug 408T is not a car suitable for you.

It is a nicer and better car as compared to City, Vios, etc. But it doesn't offer the same reliability for sure. Nasim is rather weak in after sale service as well. So you can expect your car to stay in the workshop for days if major issues crop up. Of course you can't feel such frustration when you are buying the brand new car. It will hit you hard if you depends on this car heavily for your daily usage.

Will i recommend other people to buy 408T? Yes, on the following conditions.
1. The person is not on a 9 to 5 job.
2. At least one spare car at home at any time.
3. Willing to let Nasim takes their own sweet time to troubleshoot on the issues. There is no urgency to get the car back.
4. Willing to accommodate Nasim's schedule for servicing.

I bought my car in late 2015. My power window has intermittent issue from day one till now. I sent in to SC twice just to get it fixed, but they did not manage to settle it even though they told me problem rectified. It is just a small problem. I will send in whenever i am free, until they fed up with me and get it fixed.

Other than City you can take a look at pre FL Renault Fluence. It is not as good drive as 408T, less spacious as well. But it offers better reliability than 408T for sure. Tan Chong service is much better than Nasim, and there is a 48-hr courtesy car. If you wants a conti with reliability, this is a safer bet. FYI, i don't work for them. Just that i have both Pug and Renault at home.

Bro you are lucky, my car power steering making sound since day 1(3 year ago) whenver i turn left or right...send to sc ntg done..been to puchong,setia alam,geotauto and kota damansara all give me the same answer...408 2.0 power steering is like that...peugeot sc give me the same feeling like proton service center

previously when i check with glenmarie service advisor, they said benchmark would be item cost more than RM500. Less than RM500 usually unable to be approved by the EWP insurance underwriter. Also, on the spot they can immediately check with underwriter if claim is possible instead of asking us to put there and the claim rejected later on.

Guys, friend Peugeot 408 bonnet cannot close. How?? I cant lock the car now zzz.

You have to learn to deal with it bro. Somehow all Peugeot SCs gave me the impression that they only loves to deal with regular services business and shy away from small fixes (eg: rattling noise in the car, steering alignment, etc) or warranty claim. Based on my experience, they will ask you to come on weekday and leave your car overnight then call you after a day or two telling you it's fixed (when it's not). Repeat that a few times then you get fed up and live with it

I think your only choice is to source for a non SC workshop to fix your air con. Please let us know if you find any competent air con service for pugs.

My compressor start to making cracking noise since last friday at mileage sharp 50k......still cold, but decide to replace......my friend's air cond shop quote Rm1800 for new denso compressor with labour...... took 3hrs to replace including clean/flushing condenser using chemical.... now back to normal...other shop quote Rm2.2k include replacing the china made condenser....... my friend told me that Denso compressor having reliability issue although it is Made in Japan.......unless Sanden compressor in other Peugeot model which may last for atleast 7 years.......

Wrong comparison bro. City is B segment, 408T is C segment. You should be asking if you get to choose between a Mazda 3 or 408T which would you take?

I will still chose 408t even at the old price.

Engine torque and driving dynamics are far better. All cars have issues and so will the M3. On the long run, M3 will be cheaper to maintain,that's the only edge. But I am prepared for the higher maintenance!
