Decarbonizing the car engine cost around RM400 to RM700 from what I've seen so far. RM1000 is a bit high but not far fetched.

Engine oil or transmission fluid oil can range from RM45 to RM70 per liter. RM250 to RM400 isn't far fetched either if the gearbox requires 4 liters or more

Battery - minimal should be able to tahan at least 2 years la. I haven't heard of anyone needing to change their car battery every year. The price of battery range between RM250 to RM500 depending on brand.

It can if he does travel 60,000km in a year. I do know people who do that. Please bear in mind the prices I listed are ASSUMED.

On Average - 5,000km a month. Every 2 months must service car

Each service: Total: RM2500 Average: Rm500 each for a total of 5 Service
1 Major Service: RM1500
Brake Pads: RM1000 (front and back)
Tires (2 sets): RM3000 (each set can last around 30,000km)
Engine Decarb: RM1000 (as posted by lowyatnetacc)
Battery: RM400

Is it possible to hit RM10,000? Plausible but if include warranty claims or repairs, then I doubt the figure would be less than what's listed.

Timing Chain - RM500 (wear and tear)
Turbocharger - RM6500 to RM8500 if buy outside of SC. These can typically last for about 100,000km before you need to inspect and see if an overhaul is required.
HPFP - RM2000 easily

But 2 of the items SHOULD BE under warranty, so it shouldn't cost you a single cent although the price will be reflected on the receipt.

That is absolute rubbish. This guy is just a Peugeot basher. His bluff is called already, repeated request for receipts,he can't produce any! He can only spew insults & rubbish up till now!

I am one of the early buyers of the 408THP. Staring my 5th year and very happy with my car. Maintenance has only been a fraction of the said amount, guaranteed! Last year maintenance cost:$1174 - 2 oil change, new battery, left rear ABS sensor change.

408 has a different engine. 308 engine repair & maintenance bills are totally irrelevant! Really ignorant to insist that they are same!
