Anybody going for that minimalistic look with charging their iPhones? Try the Apple iPhone Lightning dock, comes in the same colors as the new iPhones themselves.

Got myself the Gold to go with my 6S Plus. Supports it nicely, the lightning cable goes to the back and the extension goes up to the dock to the iPhone itself. Also a nice touch? An audio port out. I have the TwelveSouth HiRise iPhone dock that uses your Lightning cable (no extender cables built in like this iPhone dock from Apple), it's nice but fit and finish goes to Apple of course.

Available at MacStudio, got mine at the BB Park branch.

Sturdy enough for me. I left it on my tabletop, and it's satisfactorily holds my 6S Plus at that angle in that picture.
RM229. Kinda on the expensive side, no thanks to depreciating RM. But I figure this looks good on top of a HiFi setup as well with that audio out, and it's digital out since it connects via Lightning port.

But i read the customer review says that it quite wobbly if use the phone when its on the dock

It's a charging dock. Not a typing dock. That's where Siri come in: instead of me tapping to set alarm for example, I just say "Hey Siri, wake me up at 8am tomorrow". Checking iMessages or Facebook or Twitter I use Handoff and Continuity on Mac OS X El Capitan. Even the sturdiest dock I had, the Element Case VaporDock still isn't completely sturdy when typing.

I still can tap and slide to unlock and navigate by swiping. Vigorous tapping like when typing will definitely wobble it. It's a tradeoff: you want easy access and docking, you get less stability when typing, you want more firm stability when typing, you lose easy access and docking. iPad docks like Skadoosh for example, is firm but the mechanism holding the iPad in is rigid and rudimentary.

Again, it's a charging dock, not typing dock. Also meant for audiophiles routing digital signal from their iPhones to compatible DACs like Chord Hugo or iFi iDSD Micro.

No problems. You're good at that: reading between the lines and assuming. I guess "you can do no wrong". nod.gif

Now where have I hear that statement before? nod.gif

I thought I was already read in between the line by you as being wrong, being something else, or smelled as a rat from far away already? Certainly I can't be right, ......right? Can't be as ironic as Samsung being the chipmaker for Apple certainly.

I guess all those hard work building this forum since iPhone 3G just gets me labeled as a rodent only. sad.gif

He's not interfering. He's trying to rationalize how one comes to a conclusion of fanboyism when multiple devices of differing brands, companies and make is utilized.
Probably. They're probably brought in via Singapore so it's not exactly one to one conversion.
Views and justification, absolutely. Assumptions, or how you try to eloquently put, "learn to read between the lines" however is suspect. I want to read between your lines but I chose not to, because what you perceive as one thing is actually something else. In here, all you have are texts, and assumptions come easy with posted text. Your "reading in between the lines" only works if you know me personally and my posts involves a different agenda Han what is clearly presented. You, do not know me in real life. Others here who do, knows me exactly for who I am and what I meant when I post them in public forums.

You can continue assuming or as you put it, "reading in between lines". Or better still, clarify and ask me what I meant by my posts to avoid the need to "read in between the lines". That'll solve all the misconstrued notions you have here (when honestly there's none: I meant everything I said as it is. Fishing for popularity votes or empathy is for the young, and I couldn't care less what others think of me anymore, much less some stranger in a public forum). I've seen more chronic case of justification and rationalizing in your case than in my years in public forums before. wink.gif

I also have this coming on the 9th this month. The DXO One. USD599. It's the same sensor used by Sony RX100 MarkIII, although no articulating lens for varying focal lengths.

It's totally of a different class compared to the Sony QX1 that I also have, all for one singular reason: DIRECT CONNECTION to the iPhone via Lightning port. The QX1 may have a Micro4/3 sensor, but the connection between the QX1 and your phone is Bluetooth/WiFi in nature and susceptible to lag.

USD599 may be hard to swallow, but it also comes with DXO Connect, DXO FilmPack and DXO OpticsPro Elite Edition, worth USD300 for free, so technically, the DXO One is really just USD299 in price with these free powerful software inclusion.

I could, but my word may not carry any weight around here. I suggest one better option: I'll let you try it on your iPhone and see for yourself how good it is. It's how I've been doing my iOS accessories reviews all this while: by letting others try it for themselves.

We did gatherings during those iPhone 3G until iPhone 5 days, and I bring the accessories for a "try" session so that attendees can be informed on how useful these accessories are before they consider purchasing. I grow tired of the AppleByte section generally, and the iPhone section specifically, after the moderating team here allow discussion and talk of jailbreaking and piracy run rampant during those days. Most, if not all of us have left the scene here, but not leaving iPhones and iOS, we still do Day-One iPhone <insert new version here> meetup gathering, because well, we get our iPhones on Day One, irregardless of where the phones were launch. When you've been good friends and family for more than 7 years, networking and helping each other to get ourselves new iPhones comes without even asking sometimes. smile.gif

Participating in this forum now though, is still a chore, conversations here just linger around mundane stuff like rumors and conjectures only. Nothing solid or useful info to glean. Hence why we left and/or observe. Until someone decides to post something ridiculous, that requires "correcting" so that the FUD (fear, uncertainty and doubt) does not spread. wink.gif

Not a problem. I had gathering attendee from Sungai Petani come down over for a meet. Just holler, I'm so free these days meeting up is so easy.

I can write a lengthy paragraph about how I feel about it, but purchaser-bias will always be there: I'm bound to like what I buy, and may not be inclined to post negative stuff on things I bought with my own money, right? Unless I get this as a review unit (and returned), then I may be able to be completely objective. I'll try my best.

I can already see one problem there though: keeping it connected to the iPhone, how to carry? Have to be very careful, especially if you're pairing this with a 6S Plus, because of the weight of the 6S Plus. Keeping it disconnected means having to flick down the shutter door, snap the Lightning connector in, log in using Touch ID, and open the app to snap photos. At first, that whole routine may be a bit slow as you're not used to it, but after a while, motor reflex should kick in and make it faster, so that you wont miss the shot you're about to take. Hopefully after spending some time with it, the body will compensate on the action on using it. wink.gif

You're very right about this, it's always about self satisfaction for each product. Fan meetup turned up very useful for networking and accessories testing. Just like audiophile fan.

But, believe it or not, for those who live far from KL normally won't be able to work it out for the meetup/gathering. Hence, current user or owner's reviews are very useful to decsribe the feel. So if it's not bothering you, please keep it up reviewing stuff around here. Some will come and critics, but yeah, ignore is the best.

And also, you're right, fellow forumer nowadays, become so hype about rumors. And keep asking the same thing over and over again. Back the old day, no fact no talk.

Anyone buying this? Great deal 6s for RM2999? Local manufacturer warranty is from Apple itself right?

The add says Rm3199. Is this the right link you posted?
It cant be Local Manufacturer warranty as the 6s/6s+ is not launched here yet.

Wouldn't Maxis One Plan here points towards them promoting Zerolution, meaning iPhone on monthly payment? Corrent me if I'm wrong.

I normally post how I feel and my impression of the products I use on Facebook. But that's a dead end, I curate and filter who gets to see what on my Facebook feeds, meaning I dont allow anyone access to social networking with my credentials on it, until I've met them and feel comfortable adding them. Privacy is important to me.

I'll try to see what I can come up with, it's been disheartening looking at the state of the forum these days, I'm less inclined to post something (much less a review) and the post get buried under tons of useless posts.

Nope. At that price he's either selling it near or below market price from Singapore or Hong Kong. Hence warranty from those two locations you can wriggle your way around the local AASPs.
