QUOTE(stringfellow @ Oct 4 2015, 03:12 PM)
And Sony camera image sensors on Samsung products. Is that ironic too? rolleyes.gif OR should every phone manufacturers open up their own fabrication so that it doesn't fall into that "ironic" category of yours?

Point is, it's a business. And as how Apple deals with Samsung's manufacturing costs and makes sure that it's a profitable business transaction, so does other phone manufacturers deal with their phones having Sony camera sensors. Buy in bulk, price go down. Same with manufacturing in bulk. In the meantime, Samsung's always happy with being able to continue stealing Apple designs (hardware and chip-designs) when they get the Apple contract to manufacture the next A(x) chip.  icon_rolleyes.gif

that why not samsung monopoly... still have other supplier... without apple, samsung profit will drop also... how they say explain to their share holder if their chip sales drop....

some tight fit casing maight not suit... better buy those casing written with 6s / 6s plus...

Not true. I've Apple's original cases in leather and Polyurethane as well as sleeves, TPU cases, and tight-fitting "bare-naked" ones, they fit fine on my 6S Plus as well as when they did on my previous 6 Plus. Apple's own cases are built to tight tolerances, and they fit just fine. I carry mine in Kavaj sleeve leather case as I like mine naked, and even with the hardened outer leather shell/soft inner suede, it slides in just fine.

Well, yeah you are right. Have the point.
I bought few iPhone 6 Plus casings last year and in the end I didn't buy any iPhone last year. laugh.gif

I'm still thinking if I should the same this year. Anyway, I always travel to Beijing, can easily buy cheap casings there and via Taobao. biggrin.gif

how much you paid on the casing is how much quality you get... i believe those >rm100 casing is way better/nicer than those rm10 casing....

I'm talking in response to his smug comment about the allusion that Apple is supposedly reliant on Samsung and Samsung isn't doing the same thing with their own devices themselves. Nobody's an island, no single phone manufacturer manufacture its own device themselves, else you want to pay skyrocketing price for the end product due to costs of manufacturing their own components.

I always buy Spigen casings for all my phones. biggrin.gif
Also some classic casings from Taobao online, around RMB 30-50 per piece. biggrin.gif

Yes on all account of cases and sleeves I have. Others who are built with too tight a tolerance may face difficulty in fitting, but if you've been using those cases and sleeves with your previous iPhone 6/Plus, they've grown malleable (the material expands and form-fit around your iPhone) and will fit your new iPhone 6S/Plus just fine. This applies ONLY to quality branded ones, I have those from Spigen, Kavaj and Apple's own line of accesories, I cant speak for shitty RM10 cases.

Not surprising with this coming from a fanboy @ ifag. Again it proves my point on how well Apple markets and does so well with its product branding. "Apple just can do no wrong!". laugh.gif

An Apple fanboy doesn't also uses Samsung Galaxy S6 Edge with Samsung Gear VR Innovator Edition, or the Lumia 1020 as well. My Gear S2 and S6 Edge Plus is also on the way, had problems locating a 64GB version of that S6 Edge Plus locally.

I can say the same with your "Samsung always gets things right" attitude as well. Just a rehash of your claim of my "Apple can do no wrong". rolleyes.gif

Better luck next time dissecting me, "friend".

Never was a Samsung fan either. Am using an iphone 6+ and looking forward to changing to the 6s+. What I cant stand is fanboism in forums here. Do practise what you preach! By the way, your list of 'equipment' on your avatar really reflects well on you. thumbup.gif

Then don't assume that "fanboism in forums here" = me. Blanket statements leads to fuckups. Assumption too, is the mother of all fuckups. What do you preach then, "assumptions"? I see you spending more of your time in the Android section based on your post counts, not to mention your frequent visits to the Kopitiam section, but I'd rather not assume you're here in the Apple section just to stir shit up. If I do that, then I'll be you, and God forbid me turning into you. *shudder*

By the way, my avatar only says 4K. It's the signature that a bit lengthy. Just as a countermeasure against folks who like to blanket statement things or using fanboyism as their trump card. icon_rolleyes.gif

Wow... You know why this is a called a discussion forum? It enables people to give their views and opinions. But you being a techie or geek would like to see what other forummers are active in which topics and give comments on what others are doing. Wait, you now even want to involve your "God" in the discussion on the forums. So what should we call you now? A religious geek? shocking.gif

your 128 GB  6+ is cheaper leh... why we brought at RM3500ish where you only buy 3100ish...
*
directly imported from US thats why cheaper. i did it because i wanted the verizon model.
now its a pain ‘cause warranty claim is troublesome - dealing with apple care now.

this year the 128 GB 6s+ is around RM 500 cheaper (if we're going by RM 4700 RRP)

and another good thing is the unlocked gsm model they sell in the US = the model sold in asia.
so warranty will have no issue claiming (according to vr tech, aasp in megan avenue 2 KL).

last year, the us gsm model != asia model - you'd have to get Sprint version.

Another assumption on your part there as well, just because I say God you think I'm religious. I'm agnostic. "God forbid" is an expression. English, bro. Brush up a bit, you can do it. icon_rolleyes.gif

Try again.

I have no qualms on fostering discussion, that is EXACTLY what I'm doing when you spew out your "Apple can do no wrong" rhetoric, I discussed AGAINST it.

I'm a little lost here. Which part of the comments reflect fanboyism?
If anything, his signature points to him not being a apple fanboy.
I don't know any fanboy who would be using the rival products to that extend.

Anybody going for that minimalistic look with charging their iPhones? Try the Apple iPhone Lightning dock, comes in the same colors as the new iPhones themselves.

Got myself the Gold to go with my 6S Plus. Supports it nicely, the lightning cable goes to the back and the extension goes up to the dock to the iPhone itself. Also a nice touch? An audio port out. I have the TwelveSouth HiRise iPhone dock that uses your Lightning cable (no extender cables built in like this iPhone dock from Apple), it's nice but fit and finish goes to Apple of course.

Available at MacStudio, got mine at the BB Park branch.
