Forget Gold, get Rose Gold! Haha, I was faced with a big dilemma myself when Apple first announced the new colour. I'm an iPhone 5 user who has been in love with the Gold colour for the longest time and was planning to get the upcoming iPhone 6s in Gold, but when Rose Gold came out, daynngg.... Stole my heart 

I'm just scared I'll regret getting Rose Gold over the Gold in the long run. I've seen in videos how the Rose Gold looks different in terms of hue in different lighting. Might look ugly.

I could, but my word may not carry any weight around here. I suggest one better option: I'll let you try it on your iPhone and see for yourself how good it is. It's how I've been doing my iOS accessories reviews all this while: by letting others try it for themselves.

We did gatherings during those iPhone 3G until iPhone 5 days, and I bring the accessories for a "try" session so that attendees can be informed on how useful these accessories are before they consider purchasing. I grow tired of the AppleByte section generally, and the iPhone section specifically, after the moderating team here allow discussion and talk of jailbreaking and piracy run rampant during those days. Most, if not all of us have left the scene here, but not leaving iPhones and iOS, we still do Day-One iPhone <insert new version here> meetup gathering, because well, we get our iPhones on Day One, irregardless of where the phones were launch. When you've been good friends and family for more than 7 years, networking and helping each other to get ourselves new  iPhones comes without even asking sometimes.

Participating in this forum now though, is still a chore, conversations here just linger around mundane stuff like rumors and conjectures only. Nothing solid or useful info to glean. Hence why we left and/or observe. Until someone decides to post something ridiculous, that requires "correcting" so that the FUD (fear, uncertainty and doubt) does not spread.

Nope. At that price he's either selling it near or below market price from Singapore or Hong Kong. Hence warranty from those two locations you can wriggle your way around the local AASPs.

I heard Singapore dealers have a hard time disposing 16gb stocks and have to resort to giving discounts to get rid of them. Wonder why Apple still keep making them.

Pretty good deal I'd say. I thought I'd never see the day an iPhone price go below RM3k at these economic and currency climate. Although 16GB is pushing it. I can survive on that only if I exclusively stream music (no music in storage) and "upload and delete" photos taken to iCloud Storage so that internal storage remain free, for apps.

If local warranty isnt a priority right now, I'd say go for it. I never considered local warranty as a criteria of purchase, always careful with my iPhones and touch wood they have survived a year of usage before sold off to a new owner. Plus, Singapore isn't that far off, and maybe you can get it serviced in QCD or Machines "under warranty"? Someone correct me on this, there's a lot of back-and-forth with regards to whether Singaporean sets are serviceable under warranty here.

I had good experience with my 5 and 5s, singapore sets but I sent to Machines KLCC to claim the warranty.
Even my GF had claimed her HK set in Machines KLCC too.
