Just to update about my first overseas trip with citi premiermiles.

1. Depart from klia terminal 2 with citi pm you are entitled to enter travel lounge which is same floor with McDonald's before to your boarding gate.

2. I touched down at klia terminal 1 so I can redeem for free airport limousine home providing with 3 credit card slips I can see the counter kayak not really looked into it nor check on the details merely copped and let me go.

3. Airport limousine near gate 1/2 you should able to see the counter which is just behind the gate

Pictures taken were too big to upload otherwise it will be easy to use as reference.

Not sure if I should still keep this card, I applied for quite sometimes and just leave it underneath the deep drawer. Maybe any sifu here would provide some good insights whether should I keep or cut

Enjoy it while it last as soon the card will be replaced with UOB cards. Not too sure whether UOB cards have the same benefit

Not many cards offer complimentary airport limousine nowadays. I would say keep it until these benefits that make the card worthwhile gets demised.

I am using Citi PM card. Just saw this article from RinggitPlus

https://ringgitplus.com/en/blog/credit-card...lite-world.html

The redemption rate is damn bad for UNIRM.

Previously, eg I spent 12k on my Citi card, I can get 4k premier miles.
Redemption rate is 1500 premier miles to 1000 KrisFlyer.
So I can get 2666 Krisflyer miles.

Now, with UOB PRVI Miles Elite, spent 12k get 12k UNIRM.
Redemption rate is 9000 UNIRM to 1000 KrisFlyer.
So I can get only 1333 Krisflyer miles. Lost exactly half the value.

Guess gone are the day. Find other better card now.

Sadly..
You called them prior to the Annual fee charging?
If already charged then just use for another year.

It was prior to the annual fee charging.

I managed to get waiver for the past 3 years on Citi Prestige card. No luck this time. I was no longer actively using my Citi credit card anyway since no longer live in Malaysia.

I'm quite nostalgic with Citibank as I've been using their credit cards since my poorer, younger days when it was a silver card and then slowly upgraded to their higher end cards over the years.

The other card that I used to have since my younger days was from Southern Bank. But that has been taken over by CIMB and not nostalgic about that one anyway since not much perks as Citibank.

hi, how you know the redemption rate is 9k UNIRM to 1000 KF Miles ya? UOB PRVI Miles Elite is not mentioned in the list yet..

PRVI Miles is not same as PRVI Miles Elite

And based on this statement from Citibank:
Citi also reassured customers that they do not have to worry about their accumulated points being forfeited following this development. “Rest assured that your unredeemed Rewards points and miles will be transferred to United Overseas Bank (Malaysia) Berhad at an equivalent value, and you will be able to redeem them upon completion of migration,” the bank shared in the notice as well.

I guess the redemption rate should be 4500 UNRM to 1000 KF Miles. Still need confirmation from UOB after 1-Jul-2023. If the rate really bad, then have to redeem it before 11 July 2023... doh.gif

agreed. is common when companies merge or transition the t&c on existing customers still remained as it takes time for their new transition customer to adapt to new terms/features.[ie: Citi Prestige vs UOB Visa Infinite Metal-both are top tier cards and how will they satisfy their existing customer?? cool2.gif ] That is where the existing user will be converted to a new T&C in a later window timeline in future tongue.gif .

Meanwhile just enjoy the perks and terms we still have from Citi like the lounge, or coffee bean etc. thumbsup.gif

They no longer offer annual fee waiver? Sorry I might have missed this part of the conversation. If my memory serves me right, it should be fairly easy to get the waiver.

Based on https://ringgitplus.com/en/blog/credit-card...lite-world.html

The UOB PRVI Miles Elite is likely the replacement for the Citi PremierMiles Card. Instead of introducing a new rewards points system (the Citi PremierMiles earns PremierMiles points instead of the usual Citi Rewards Points), the PRVI Miles Elite will earn UNIRM just like the other UOB rewards cards.

Maybe the conversion rate from PremierMiles to UNIRM is could be similar for the time being. But I guess they will terminate this Citi PM card soon and get it replaced with UOB PRVI Miles Elite. For this new card, it is earning UNIRM just like the other UOB rewards cards. Therefore, the new conversion rate will be half the value which means it is not worth at all to continue using the UOB PRVI Miles Elite.

just received an email

1 Citi PremierMile is worth 6 UNIRM

Currently is 1500 PM = 1000 Airmiles
After migration, 1500 PM X 6 = 9000 UNIRM = 1000 Airmiles (which is equivalent value)

user posted image

After 16-Jul, RM1 spend locally = 1 UNIRM...means I need to spend RM9000 to only get 1000 Airmiles..need to spend another RM4500..(currently is RM4500 to get 1000 airmiles) blink.gif

But still not sure UOB PRVI Miles Elite is under 9000 UNIRM or 11,500 UNIRM category?

has any existing citi cashback card user applied for UOB One card recently?

thinking of doing that, just to take advantage of RM250 signup bonus on Ringgitplus and there seems to be no restriction on citi users as existing UOB user

That's what I mentioned earlier. For the new card, spent the same amount but got half the value. So it is better to find a new card for miles.
