Anyone here with experience applying for Citibank credit card online on their website?

I did just now (Monday) and got conditional approval within few minutes. It appears they send their credit card via snail mail? When should I expect the card to arrive?

Yea, would like to know whether this is legit? Full credit utilisation but paying promptly every month.
*
It is true. One of my cc which i got since 2014 has a low CL. 5k. Not until recently i need to use the card for overseas payment (biz trip almost every month) where it left few hundred to CL. Although i paid on time fully My CCRIS report mentioned that high utilisation of credit. The key here is if you want to use until CL if possible pay partially in the middle of the month so when the statement date appear your total amount due will be lower. Bank will use this amount due to update into ccris which will determine high utilisation or low.

Have one question regarding credit card pin code. Normally for local purchase, it requires pin code to pay. However, I noticed during my recent japan trip where i did payment on two different hotels where it did not require to input any pin during payment. I recall before where previously I used UOB in bangkok require me to key in pin code though. Is it normal for citibank?

Share my latest income to them, within few days they increase my credit limit to x2. Been with them only 1 year the CL is highest offered to me given that my other cards like UOB after 7 years plus, they only increase 0.5x after i submit my income documents.

Hi, has anyone applied for citibank cc recently? Been waiting for 1 week plus.
Last time when I was at the booth the sales girl boost so highly about the approval time, they say can approve in one day. My @ss.  bangwall.gif
Now one week plus already still no update.

Anyone got any experience applying citibank cc recently? mega_shok.gif

Applied last time took around 3-4days for approval via online application. Its quite fast compare to my recently HSBC that took almost 3 weeks plus. Unless there is issue in the documentation that will drag the approval. Normally quite fast for approval for credit card like i also applied another bank alliance took 2-3 working days approved.

wow...so far im holding the citi card since 2019, they increase my credit limit 3 times already. They are the most generous among the other cards I am holding like UOB (since 2014- up once only which require to request).

currently, I been actively using the Citi rewards for points collection, last year spending managed to get 200k+ points. Just wondering if is it worth focusing my usage to Premier miles since I am thinking to collect for miles points since is more worthy? but given the acquisition of UOB not sure if is still worth to focus using Citi cards for points collection since is still unsure whether the card will be Citi rebrand or new UOB cards. hmm.gif Any comments?

Anyone tried to change cards recently?

More specifically upgrade to a better card. (Instead of having to go through the hassle of cancelling current card then applying for a better one)

If it is possible, will the upgraded card be charged with new sst or continue from previous card?

Eg if paid sst in January already, need to pay another round of sst for upgraded card?
*
You can add new card. The card can be same or higher but depend on your annual income. Sst is charged based on per card basis. So when u add new card u will need to pay sst upon activation.

I lost my Citibank PremierMiles just like that. Good job. sad.gif

wow first time i hear credit card account will be cancel if not used. I used to have 3 Citi cards and last year I cancel one of the card as not utilised for very long time. They counter offer cashback for me to retain me but eventually 2nd attempt they counter to waive the annual fee and sst, I declined as too many cards to keep. Now left Citi Rewards not in use thinking to cancel it too.

transfer at an equivalent value, after which uob may revise it. lol

agreed. is common when companies merge or transition the t&c on existing customers still remained as it takes time for their new transition customer to adapt to new terms/features.[ie: Citi Prestige vs UOB Visa Infinite Metal-both are top tier cards and how will they satisfy their existing customer?? cool2.gif ] That is where the existing user will be converted to a new T&C in a later window timeline in future tongue.gif .

Meanwhile just enjoy the perks and terms we still have from Citi like the lounge, or coffee bean etc. thumbsup.gif

all my Citi cards are already officially in my existing UOB account. The only thing I notice the credit limit is still separated.
