great news, i bought a cheap obd 2 scanner.

3 error detected, 1 keep coming back after cleared.

1. p0513 Incorrect immobilizer key (gone for now)
2. p0504 Brake switch -A/B correlation (mark red in torque app, causes check engine light, gone for now)
3. p0564 Cruise control system, multi -function switch input A -circuit malfunction (keep coming back every scan)
*
I got p0513. Still keep coming back.

Other problem;

1. After few hours parked, alarm will turn on itself
2. Wiper auto on. Wiper fluid also auto on.
3. Even after clear faults, error p0513 will come again.

Any proton tech here can give advice? Last time i sent to proton sc, they only clear ecu and charge rm85. And they told my wife they not guarantee this will settle the problem. Feel scammed. They didnt even brief what was the error.

Pls need help..

Continuing on my car temp up saga. My fren told me if the car aircon no switch on, the temp wont up. If switch on aircon, then temp will up. Is this still is fan motor problem?

With the air-con switched ON and compressor engaged, the radiator's fan speed will be at the fastest (compared to OFF). Check this out. PREVE has only 1 fan which is actually not good and I consider this a design flaw.

So tat means my fan is not running at full speed. So for this, most likely is fan motor problem?

It could be a relay problem, meaning the high fan speed relay is not operating.

preve is famous for fan motor rosak. mine the sockets was melted at 160k KM. so the fan wasnt running optimally. temp did not increase but if the fan stops working, hangus la engine. changed the whole set at COSE around 700.

also my Preve CFE from 1st batch (year 2012). After the 8th year, lotsa small issues cropping up. and every repair will cost 300-700. I spent around 5k in 1 year to repair all those small2 stuff. this not taking into account the turbo and CVT replacement which should last until 120k KM and anything after that is bonus time.

So finally decided to cut my losses and sell the car. Abit sad that i repaired alot of stuff in COSE but cant afford to continuously repair the car. Its a steady car but once its old, maintenance is pricey.

On my opinion at 120km most issues will really come out not only for preve.
compared to BMW, VW and Mercedes this maintenance cost still considered lucky.

the entry cost to bmw is high..so u expect high maintenance. for preve, u buy it for 72k but at the 8th year your car is only valued at 15-20k. your repairs will cost 1k everytime. not worth it la to repair. If your turbo or CVT dies, RIP to the car.

using same analogy then bmw buy for 200k after 8yrs only 50k some more i pay bmw i expect german build to be better and less maitnance, in the end maintenance cost still same pay 3k for 50k car everytime?

my point is that all car's maybe (toyota / honda )is better in this situation is normal not only to preve.
hope people here doesn't follow that mindset, long lasting car depends on Usage not on brand although some models can really be a factor and just endless money pits in the end.

My last old car waja Mitsubishi dont cost much on maintaining it until 300k km. Just regular oil change with fully synthetic, gb oil. Additionally the driveshaft need to replace on 10th year and once radiator set due to leakage

fair point.. but reason i bought the preve was due to affordability. It became expensive towards the end of life. and i wouldnt have been able to afford repairing the CVT/Turbo. sold it and now waiting for Honda City to arrive.

K1 is for High Speed
K2 is for Low Speed
If you compare carefully, relays K1 and K2 are interchangeable.

Check also the JEF5 (High Fan Speed) Fuse
and the JEF6 (Low Fan Speed) Fuse
Make sure neither fuse is not blown.

If both relays and fuses are good, then it's most likely due a faulty fan motor.

You need some basic electrical knowledge to properly check the relay.
