My preve became very bumpy, my mom sit behind keep complaining, saying that last time is not bumpy as now. 2013 car, will it be absorber problem? Or tyre issue?
*
Most likely shock absorber , have you changed the shock absorber ever since?

Hey guys,

long time lurking here, last time i ask what upgrade should do since i'm experiencing handling issues, not comfortable etc. etc.
did a lot of countless research and reading here in forum and youtube videos, then slowly understand how car works.

just wanna share and appreciate the help and knowledge i got from here.
i know my journey is just starting , will still continue to seek for advice.

Upgrades
- Major service (advised by one member here, it's a must to make sure your car is back to stock and good condition before modding)
- Coil overs (adjustable pre-load / height and dampening stiffness)
- Sports rim and tyres (cannot buy PS4 for now but this tyres also bang for the buck)

what next poison to get? haha

MBO remap around 659, might one shot change the stock diverter valve with GFB one add on around 400.
Racechip second hand around 600-700, new about 1.5k? I bought mine during promo for 999.
Brake department wise, just upgrade to exora bold caliper bracket and exora bold rotor. around 600-700.
Tyres, ps4 around 400 each.
Absorber, stock around 600 for all.

Happy modding.  biggrin.gif

wow great advise bro, i added everything on my list to check out.

Hello gaise,

wanna ask, my friend preve seat (non leather seat, just regular type) is getting mould as he left it there while he was stuck overseas unable to get back to current travel ban.

Can you guys recommend a good place that does good job around KL town itself please.

I myself is taking care of his care while he is away. Need you guys opinion.
*
i always go to eco steam wash, they do good job for fabric type seats.

Done the normal balancing and alignment.

But still got minor vibration on steering wheel. When i let go my hand, still going left

They said my steering rack problematic.

Beside changing the steering rack, should i try changing the rack bush, under tie rod, and the tour road end

Got rattle sound when i turn right at low speed too
*
hmmm hard to diagnose, need more details.

can share your tyre and rim profile?

Like to know how many of Preve owners here have experienced a motor oil leak.

I had mine a few weeks ago, a major one. SC found out that it was the oil transfer hoses. See photo. I cannot find any leak hole there. Leak was major, think the hose clip came off and thus draining out the oil. Anyone with a similar experience here? Cost of repair was >RM200 for the 2 hoses and clips.

My car is 6 years old now. Expected the hoses and clips to last more than just 6 years.

*
if those are still stock hose and clip then expected to replace for 6 years bro.
i got mine replaced 4 years old down the road.

i think the reason it broke is because im using "S" mode a lot and driving / pushing too fast.
now driving a bit more gentle and avoid using that "S" mode.

I recall 'S' mode is on CFE only (may be wrong)
on normal auto gear car after D is L, on Preve, its S
*
correct, as per image.

S mode will lock gear in higher RPM and higher pedal response.
but got a lot of negative damage as experienced by using it, now i'm staying away from using it.

ECU tuning or Remapping which pushes your engine beyond stock setting might also be a factor to faster weardown of parts.

hi, plan to get a used car. tempted to get suprima s year 2017. quick check at mudah less than rm30k.

reading quite a bit on preve issues. did suprima have same issue? or proton already improve their qc for suprima.
my main concern:
1. cvt
2. och
3. aircon relay (fusebox design fail)

any thought?
*
why not preve? haha

1. cvt - i know a lot of preve user with 150km - 200km mileage, proof it can last long.
2. aircon relay (fusebox design fail) - true, once in a while it happens. just bring to SC and they will fix, it's a quick fix anyways.
you will notice this when AC is not cold but all components have no leak and no issues, then its fuse box issue.

if you want reliability and longer wear and tear, dont get the turbo version stick with non- turbo.

Hi Bros. I'm new here. Nice to meet you all.

Was wondering exora bold front brake caliper bracket, brake pad and brake disc, can use back original preve brake caliper  hmm.gif

Saw seller selling those in set at website, said plug and play on preve etc...
*
yes bro, exora rotor and caliper can use to preve.
actually preve owners upgrade to exora big brake calipers and rotor as mod.

After upgrading, can a 16" rim still be fitted?
*
only upgrade if you change to bigger size like 17~18.
16 keep stock settings.

*
i can recommend these guys, since you gonna open the front dashboard.
why not upgrade as well do maximize the labor.

can check out this shop, i got custom design from them.

ohh.. but the low beam got clip.. got ppl share me at youtube said need to install the ring adapter first.. maybe need a small allen key yo secure it
*
im using the same, this is the one with the blue ribbon right? no need to change the ring filter.

- first your halogen bulb ring filter is not removable if you check it. no need to change ring filter it will fit correctly
- second you need to remove the bumper to have access to remove the headlamp, there's screws under and on the side of the bumper only then can remove the headlamp, its hard to replace this without removing the headlamp.
- third the led ribbon won't fit in the rubber enclosure, need to poke a hole so it can extend outside the headlamp enclosure ( will share photo later)

Guys, need ur input...Driving 2012 CFE, from time to time always hard to start, like need to crank twice only can start, so didn't pay much attention to it...But last week, as usual, everytime when first time start, need to crank twice only can start, then after drive around, off it, go take breakfast, then want to start again, crank for 4-5 times only can start, after that, no more cranking for the rest of that day...

So I'm looking for recommendation on which outside workshop that experienced in solving cranking related issue...

Initially thinking to go back service center, but change my mind choose outside workshop better
*
this one first thing to check is change battery (i suggest amaron if you're replacing) and spark plugs.
sounds like battery not strong so need to drive around for alternator to charge the battery, but thats just my initial guess base on your description.

if you haven't done change battery and spark plugs in a while then this is the time.

Hey guys, my 5-year-old preve recently got some weird "gru gru" and grinding noise coming out from the driver's side, even when the car is standing still. Happens a lot when making slow sharp turns, and the last few inches before bottoming out the steering is super heavy. Is the steering pump done for?
*
hey bro, could be other multiple things , steering bush or steering pump etc.
better take it to SC, they can easily check this one for you and see which one really is the issue.

Will do, currently on the repair/replace list:
4 broken absorbers
4 tires
gearbox
and the steering issue...
Probably costs 1/3 of the car's 2nd hand value, really not worth spending anymore on this car...
*
up to you if you still want to repair or just get new car.

just keep in mind all car not only preve 5 yrs old above still need to replace these parts as well one time at least.
