QUOTE(:3mushy:3 @ Aug 23 2015, 05:41 AM) All depends on how you take care of the car. I too was surprised to read many bad user experiences here, but I've owned my car for two years and it is still a very good car to me without any deteriorating performance or safety issue, albeit the 'Proton-synonym' issue like rattling and noises. Right...my wife Preve CFE is 2 years old n had no serious issues as reported by users here : seats need changing, vibration on dashboard, engine mount issues, gearbox problem etc etc. Only issue was minor squeaky noise at back which was corrected in initial days at service center. Till now no more such noise We are very glad with the car for its price. We don't push our cars hard n we drive it casually . Petrol consumption I deem satisfactory - in town around 600km n continuous outstation w half on highway about 800 km

Those who report bulbs needed change frequently do you guys drive long hours at night? Our car average most half hour nightly n bulbs remain good after 2 years of use. My wife ex Persona even after 5 years was still good n car now being used by our son

So many QC problems in recent Preve - bad sign of failing QC My wife's 2 + year old CFE only has minor creaking sound at back seat. That was corrected at service center within an hour n had no such sound anymore I would say is a darn good buy for us at rm69k. I am watching out for all these reported issues n glad not to find any yet!

My wife Preve CFE is already 3 years old The only quality issue we had was slight rattling noise at back which was rectified within an hour at service center in the week 2 of purchase I must say we are very lucky to get a near perfect car without all those problems reported here

QUOTE(ghoss @ Jun 9 2019, 07:52 PM) Thanks. Is it safe to get the 2013 model? What do you mean by "safe"??? My missus is using 2013 CFE model and had no serious issues to date. Only a 100% complete seats change in year 4 as workshop tech highlighted some very slight wear in driver seat. I didn't even noticed it than. He said as car is less than 5 years it is under warranty and no labour charged too!! So far all those problems mentioned here we didn't face at all. Only on first month slight noise at back was immediately fixed by local tech within an hour We service the car faithfully following recommended schedule and change parts as scheduled
