Bought my Preve CFE from Vincent one month ago, Vincent is a good sales agent, in fact I introduce him to one of my colleague to buy an Iriz from his as well...

I did my first service at Apple, Seri Kembangan, apart from normal service, they can't fix any of the issues I discover as listed below, this Thursday I will visit COSE for warranty service for the following issues noted:-

1. Both front seat emit sound when we move our body when we are sitting in the car, the sound is from the back part of the seat. I heard from the members that the seats will emit sound after about half year or even berbulu, but surprisingly, my seat emit sound just about 1 month time! Bear in mind that I am not heavy with weight of 70kg and my wife who always sitting at front passenger seat is much lighter than me! Tried to complain to Apple during my first service, they told me that Proton no longer allow SC to replace seat for customer and ask me to visit COSE directly, is it the real case?

2. The dashboard emit weird sound when I drive on uneven surface road, i.e. on speed bump & etc, the sound is like  certain metal hitting with the body of the car. The guys at Apple actually spend a few hours with me to sort out the issues, but they fail to find the reason and ask me to pay a visit to COSE for diagnostic.

3. The front left speaker is much louder than the front right speaker (the HU is Blaupunkt unit). Again, Apple told me they don't have spare and ask me to visit COSE for immediate replacement.

4. My car is install with Safetint, which is not Ecotint as mentioned before. The quality of this Safetint is very bad! The font left window already have a small bubble, and the front right window contain some blue marking on the tint, yet the guys at factory still paste it on the window! Again, Apple ask me to refer to COSE for replacement.

5. Sometime the engine bay emit weird sound, something like releasing air pressure from certain component, I don't know where this sound from but I guess it is from the air-cond. The air-cond is cool, but driving in afternoon is hot if the fan turn to auto, and the temperature is set to approximately 24, I need to manually switch the fan to higher than 2 to enjoy the air-cond.

6. The wire cover in the engine bay broken by itself! This is just a one month car! (This was not highlighted to Apple)

7. The turbo seems like kick in before 2k rpm as I can hear the turbo pressure sound whenever my rpm reach about 1.7k, is this normal? (This issue I never highlight during my first service as I notice it recently) I guess it contribute to the higher fuel consumption than normal as expected (currently my average fuel consumption per 100km is 12L, in almost 100% city drive in KL)

8. The doors of the car are difficult to close, except the rear right, even it was adjusted at Apple during first service.

9. During a cold start, pressing the brake pedal, certain equipment in engine bay emit sound, is this normal for a car with vacuum pump install?

Did my service yesterday using syntium 5000 instead of 3000 that I was using all this while. Upon reaching my house, the check engine light came on. Initially I thought  the oil wasnt suitable as i was using 3000 all along. Went back to sc today and found it it was actually a defective brake switch. Got it rectified and replaced within 10mins.

hey Jason, as promised. I finally got time to go and get it done. I didnt opt for door trimmings as I rather not have people opening the door panels (worried about rattling sound afterwards).
Here are some photos of the results. They picked white thread for me, but it looked nice. Not too stand out.
Am I satisfied? Well look-wise its amazing! So far it's nice to sit on, but I'll reserve that after trying parking the car under our malaysian hot sun 

is your car is still under warranty ? if yes request nicely for FOC replacement, it is not your fault this sort of stuff happens.

to date i have never paid a sen on all parts of my car except for break pad, headlamp, ambi pur, and the service cost.

( 3 set engine mounting (average 1 set per year), one set rear seat, one pair front seat, cable harness together wit new fan, 1 set reverse sensor, 1 set complete new gearbox, gear knob and handbrake assembly)

next to come is the oil hose thing that is a big problem to all CFE owner which will be free.

And the rear right suspension which had seems like leaking oil that wont be free if my car is out of warranty.

cant remember how much year is my warranty left but i would love a new steering wheel (the buttons is not working properly once in a while, volume down button will register as previous button, mute button that double click when i only press once which means i didnt mute my music at all).

The item that needed replacement are all out of warranty my car almost 4years old. So have to pay. I'm ok with that.

So, the oil hose thing.. What problem it cause? The only problem i encounter to date:-

Front bonet sensor -  replaced - free
Shifter plastic cover -  replaced - free
Battery - replaced - rm 180
H7 projection bulb -  free
Tyre continental cc5 - rm1850
Reverse sensor -  will be replace -  sc asked for  rm92x2
Exhaust system -  will be replace -sc asked for rm611

Okay,  after change system, do I need to remap ECU?

As expected, sc ppl called me and told me they still cant solve the shock absorber sound… this is my 3rd time send my car to sc for this problems.

1st time, they done nothing
2nd time, they checked for 3 days and told me a part need to change
3rd time, part changed but problem remain… asked me to go after cny… I asked them to check carefully and tell me what are u going to do after cny and not after cny u all jz re-check everything and the process go round and round and never ending…

Car problem is one problem, and add with attitude of the sc ppl towards the problem… and this is what I get, total frustration!

Last Wednesday, I went to service my car (Executive Auto) for 80,000km. Prior to that, no abnormalities found and went for a normal service.

Last night, suddenly my 'Check Engine' indicator light up. But I didn't experience any uncommon feels about the car. Just drove as normal. The tachometer clocked around 200km after service.

Do I have to go back to the SC? What is the possible cause of the indicator?

Some feedback to everyone here, last Friday I went to the famous Apple Auto Seri Kembangan, the experience is quite bad and feel that they are very unprofessional, my car is Preve CFE, now its 30 months old, with millage of 36k KM.

So I went to Apple Auto to do my 30 months or 50k KM service, according to the book, I only need to change my EO, EO filter, gasket and Air Filter, with labour charge of RM 72.

However, when i reach there, they inform me say that I need to do "major service", need to change my CVT oil and filter, and want to charge me for RM120 labour charge because it is "major service", so I argue with him say that it suppose to be changed in 36 months service, then he show me the page in service booklet which says 40k km need to change, first of all, every 40km need to change is for severe usage car, my car 30 months only 36k km, really doesnt make sense if they categorise my car as "severe usage", this lead to a more serious problem here, its that they do not understand the concept of 50k km or 30 months, they die die want to follow mileage and do 40k KM service for me (because my mileage is 36k)

After some argument, they finally agreed to let me change my cvt oil and filter in my next service, after that they cancel everything and only do normal EO change for me, but still charge me RM9.90 for octane booster and RM9.90 for screenwash. The girl there even warn me say that if i did not change CVT oil and filter according to the schedule i will lose my warranty.

Then while sitting there waiting, i dig out my last service receipt (also Apple) and found out that they charge me RM 120 for power steering, but service schedule publish by proton only stated RM 30, so clearly they flush out all my power steering oil and change new one. Is this really necessary?? 

and at the end, they give me quotation for 36 months service, it has an "Engine Tuning" RM50, and CVT Gasket RM 110 which i dont know is what? I saw only PADT2 diagnosis, RM30 from Proton, and there is no such thing as CVT Gasket, only CVT Filter and Oil.

I am seriously considering to bring my car to Shah Alam COSE for my "Real Major Service" at 36 months. and also would like to ask for some opinion here, can I bring my own EO bought from Petronas to Shah Alam COSE? and one more thing, according to proton book, I suppose to change brake oil for RM 72 on my 40k or 24 months service, which Apple did not do for me, should I go to external workshop and change my brake oil??

Well, semi is recommended for 5k usage, but in actuality it can last as long as 10k mileage like fully.

I've heard so many bad reviews about this fruity SC, better go to other SC. Sometimes, a low profile SC provides better service.

Anyone bought the new Preve from > Jun 2016 production? Is there any new suprise / accessories? ... but I guess Proton busy with the 3 new launches coming on the way this year.

Just to share my major service experience at Apple Auto. Everything was fine except during my driving back i felt my car had no power at all.The sound from engine bay was harsh as well. The whole car felt heavy even I rev the engine and in S mode.

Finally, I found a place to stop and check my engine. They did not connect the intercooler air hose back to the throttle pipe. I question their QC in this?
I have drove 20+ km with the pipe left dangling, I am now worrying that debris has gone into the throttle body?

Need some help on the CVT warning below.

when the car hits 140km/h the CVT warning will light up but the car can still accelerate. just that i release accelerator and when speed drown below 140km/h the warning will go off. then if repeat the same thing happens again.

CVT warning code found out at SC is P0721 @ second pulley speed unplausible.
Tried searching it as well and its saying input / output sensor on the pulley and SC has changed the sensor but still the issue remain.

Any other user of cvt having this same issue and it has been month and still issue unsolved.

Pls help.

me too, mostly absorber. i changed all 4 tyres doesnt improved much. preparing to change all 4 shock absorber soon~

I kena early this year. Then condersor also recently at 900 with workmanship.
But I went to official service centre la.

I had cooling coil gas leakage on my accord. Went to nearest shop, was quoted to replace all. Go to one shop in kajang with good Google review, they just replace the o-ring connector that was burst. Rm300. Now ok

Sounds right. Reapired mine 1 year ago at Proton Service, Came to 1.4K. But took 2 days.
