Any unifi user in Klang received and successfully upgraded to Unifi 30 package? Attempted to upgrade mine few days ago but they say only available in Kota Kemuning currently.

I have a question here to ask.

Received a call last week to upgrade my existing vip10 to Unifi30. So yesterday i checked my online unifi bill and yes the status already changed to Unifi30.

Done speed test and only got about 15mbps download and 5mbps upload. Immediately do a complaint and within 24 hours their technician came which is surprising (they just leave my house minutes ago).

They said it the router problem because if tested using lan cable definetely getting above 30mbps. If wifi only at 15mbps max.

So they advise me to get new powerful router that can support unifi. Either tplink or asus. Why TM didnot provide the router also beyond me.

So anyone can recommend me new router for me? If possible with the model number. And also do i need to do the setting later myself?

Go to this website all Unifi router are here http://klseet.com/

Personally will recommend this brand ASUS RTN-14UHP

Once you decide you can purchased it at any shop in lowyatt (preferably Viewnet or AllIT outlet) and ask them to setup for you...

Heard from TM friend, 10Mbps user can upgrade to 30Mbps and 20Mbps to 50Mbps w/o resubscribed and with the same monthly payment.. but for phone call there is no more free call to fixed line, all will calculate as PAYU..

Oh my crap. doh.gif I'm using the stock equipment which TM provides, will I have the same issue too?
It's the same equipment I got since VIP5 days which I registered last year.

No such thing. It's different pricing. 30Mbps is 199 and I was paying 179 for 10Mbps, so it's not the same price for me. smile.gif

If like this I don't want to upgrade already. doh.gif

Lol i dont know whether can cancel or not but if u using lan cable then it should be no problem.

Yes finding new router is troublesome for a IT-naive like me. Just hoping later the new router will not cause a new problem doh.gif

I called their CS and they are ever unhelpful. She doesn't know about this issue and keeps insisting that TM only provides basic router. If you want a better speed, then get your own router. doh.gif

I told her this equals to cheating if it's true. You introduce a plan which your customers are not able to use. doh.gif Once upgraded, I cannot downgrade anymore.

How about others? Does anyone of you using the stock equipment and manage to get full speed with WiFi? I only use WiFi and not LAN cable, so your experience sharing is very much appreciated.

I received an Innatech RG4332 Wifi router from TM as part of the VIP5 package.

I did get full speed of 5Mbps (upload and download) with Wifi when it is working fine.

However, I experienced Wifi disconnects every few hours or so.

I couldn't stand it and promptly replaced the RG4332 with an ASUS RT-N12 D1 router.

No more Wifi disconnections and the router has been rock stable from day one.

I used the RG4332 for a week before I said "enough is enough". biggrin.gif

I really don't want to spend another RM 200 to use it.
If that's the case, I want to cancel this upgrade but she said can't see my order yet. doh.gif

I don't know what's mine.. I'm not at my PJ home now.
I have no issue with VIP10 too, got more than 10Mbps for both upload and download speed.

If kaput, yes I will change. If it's not, I consider this is a waste.
Now I don't know how to cancel it, maybe I will call back again and ask them to put in instruction to stop this upgrade.
