another example.... these days you buy digital games and you have to download on launch date or close to. so thats a big size file so you want to download as fast as you can.

with the rumors floating around about sept, i'm waiting for a better deal on the 30/50 ;x

I have a question here to ask.

Received a call last week to upgrade my existing vip10 to Unifi30. So yesterday i checked my online unifi bill and yes the status already changed to Unifi30.

Done speed test and only got about 15mbps download and 5mbps upload. Immediately do a complaint and within 24 hours their technician came which is surprising (they just leave my house minutes ago).

They said it the router problem because if tested using lan cable definetely getting above 30mbps. If wifi only at 15mbps max.

So they advise me to get new powerful router that can support unifi. Either tplink or asus. Why TM didnot provide the router also beyond me.

So anyone can recommend me new router for me? If possible with the model number. And also do i need to do the setting later myself?

so i set up my DLink DIR-615 and only managed to get 2Mbps downstream.LOL.

while below result is using another cheap TP-Link TL-WR1043ND.

Received call to upgrade Unifi 30 yesterday. Rm189 (exclude GST) with Ruby TV pack/remain free landline call, 2 years contract renewal.

Still pending for them on activation. Previously was on VIP 10, using Asus RT56U dual band router shouldn't be a problem on using the 30Mbps guaa...

Yes. Like transfer file from pc to normal flashdrive. Download 1gb file less than 3 min.

I am using this,purchased from lazada.  the attenna got 5dbi & 8dbi version,  (suppose 8dbi provide more signal range ? price is not much different, so better get 8dbi attenna)

this is wireless N router, max is 300Mbps speed only, support Unifi.  although not the latest Wireless AC, but wireless N i think is sufficient to use since Max unifi home package  is 50Mbps only.  very reliable, signal range really good, i  recommended to all. i got 3 unit, 1 in home, 2 in office. Price is good also, just rm1xx

Not worth. Gaming need high upload speed.
May be shud consider vip50 with 10mbps upload speed.

Just got a call from TM offering on my final upgrade to 50mbps

Pricing :

RM169.00 (VIP30) + RM30 (Aneka Pack) + RM50.00 (50Mbps)
= RM249.00 + 6% (GST) = RM263.95nett (Contract 24 months)

If using that mine 29 - 31 mbps. Once I up to 50mbps got 48-51mbps but now back to 29-31mbps  . Already made complain. We see how it goes.
Fyi, Im only using cables. For wireless I have no clue how the speed consistency cause each time I on my wifi, I got this headache and ringing in my ear   

But honestly, not much different 30mbps & 50mbps  .

So so only. Now Im stuck with 2 years contract  for nothing. Lucky can claim 

If you can get 50mbps go ahead. This should be the low range follow by 1gbps high end.

Hard to say bro. Depending on download sources and seeder. FOr browsing is goodlah  . SO hard to say unless you give me 1 or 2 weeks time to evaluate properly 


If 1 gbps have to get cat 7 cable already 

So far I've experience all speed. Vip5, Vip10,Vip20,30mbps & 50mbps. Up till today, Vip20 still the best
