Yes, need a router. Super easy though I struggled earlier due to my noobness as well.

All telcos are connected, if you are blacklisted in one of the telcos, most likely others will reject you.

I have a spare router used during wireless broadband era. I thought it has no purpose anymore, didn't expect it is still rocking well.

It's very easy only, assuming all routers are the same.

On your note3 click the wifi setting to see the list if available wifi. Click once on the wifi you are connected to n a pop up will appear. U can see link speed there.

Anyone experience this where they called and offer cheaper upgrade but when the bill came, got no discount?

I got the proof inside OCC but when I called TM they say no such thing inside their record, so they opened a report/ticket for me.

Received call to upgrade Unifi 30 yesterday. Rm189 (exclude GST) with Ruby TV pack/remain free landline call, 2 years contract renewal.

Still pending for them on activation. Previously was on VIP 10, using Asus RT56U dual band router shouldn't be a problem on using the 30Mbps guaa...

the answer is no... if u pick Unifi 30, you are obliged to pay 199 and you will have the Hypptv package... no way to get Unifi30 at 179 without the TV pack I am coming from VIP10 @ RM179 too !

So you upgrade to 30Mbps? I asking about whether can upgrade or not if under contract. Because before I take 10Mbps upgrade the telemarketer saying something like cannot upgrade to other promotion within new 2 year contract. Thinking to upgrade to 199 for 30Mbps + aneka.

can no problem... you may upgrade it and your contract 2 years will count again...

how long did it took TM to activate Unifi30 for you guys? Entering my 3rd day now, did a speedtest and its still 10mb

I registered VIP 5 on last year's April, then December called to offer me VIP 10. I agreed and my 24-month contract restarted again in December.
Last Thursday called to offer me for 30Mbps which I have agreed and my 24-month contract will restart again.

Called me on last Thursday and until today still no news yet. I was told once I receive the email then I will need to restart my router.
Oh well, still 10Mbps.

lol fruitie. I end up walk-in to TMpoint today since going to customer's raya open house. Upon applying for upgrade and reach home within 30minutes, restart both modem & router bang ! My speed is 30Mbps. Speedtest show roughly 28-29Mbps but when download can max up to 3.6Mbps

I just checked, mine is Wednesday.
