You need a better wireless router, the wireless performance of the TM router is quite poor.

Looks like ori unifi router is really shytty. Upgrade to vip30 need to purchase 3rd party router to get decent wifi speed. This adds to the cost of upgrading. Those who wants to upgrade shud be made aware of this.

Depends on your budget. TP-LINK works okay, Asus is great but they are more expensive.

Configure your TP-LINK secondary router as a proper wireless AP instead of repeater.

I facing problem after upgrade to 50mbps by using WIFI.Their router wifi become bottleneck ,max out transfer speed at no more than 40mbps.WIFI signal strength is good , -28dBm to -33dBm ,fixed to N WIFI , change channel to avoid interference (only 3 access point detected which from my neighbours ) but still getting below 40mbps.Hardly can get above 30mbps just for wifi transfer rate, even though transfer from wired to wireless with below -35dBm. Contact their CS , just know keep on reset my port although I already informed bottleneck at their router WIFI.

You can try to check in your junk mail.I found mine in Junk Mail.Beside that , if you got friend who received that email , you can click the same link and registered , someone will call you back .Fastest way -Walk in and request upgrade, within hours.

Thanks to blacktubi's patience and guidance, I managed to set up my TP Link as AP now.

Ping and upload speed improves tremendously.

lol @fruitie so cannot increase ur download speed to 30mbps..? i've done several testing n right now I have the conclusion that I need to change my wifi router to make a stable b/g/n streams..

The stock router config can be changed to use 'n' protocol only to give my lappy perfect 30mbps speed but its too unstable and I experience several disconnection. Mind you that my router locate at 1st floor and my room at 2nd floor.

I haven't got 30Mbps activated yet. Just preparing my equipment since some said the stock cannot go beyond 30Mbps via WiFi.
Now waiting for it to activate for me.
