Something different to have a raw concept/theme but holy crap they can't leave all that honeycomb and un-plastered blockwalls and lift core walls. Wtf.

Its not about sensitivity. Talk fact pls n not yr imagination or fairly tale. And dun assume everyone here same thinking like you.

Pls share which property doesnt have wall tile and whatever you mentioned above.

Ekc success or not we dunno yet. You can assume it wont be successful, thats fine. Nobody can argue with you bcos its just your opinion.

Am not here to listen to ekc praise songs to 9th haven.

Who is praising ekc? Certainly not me. But despite all good points..tod freehold...who aware of rusty lift and 'bird cage' hanging on lift lobby...just pray hard no water leaking at your ceiling later. Good luck.

Maybe it is just me, but I sense some sarcasm in the way they "praise" the "design"

Me had that feel too...
Propkafe has been the BBB supporter of EKC since day one. Along the years, their review on EKC were positive, mostly.
Until this review, there seems to be some hidden message in the content....

It is still work in progress...just like the mall....will not make all happy. But now, it seems everyone is ok with Mall ady. Even overheard an old aunty said the mall is very nice when i was there. Well, understand not everyone like this. Since still WIP....buyers just hope the developer will "polish" the finishing in last stage. It actually looks ok, but to make more ppls happy, developer should do a bit more. Else, JMB can do it but may not do it right hahaha.

Whether "revelation" i.d concept is well accepted by shoppers will be known in a few months time.

Raw design is not everyone cup of tea or coffee.

A lot of ppl they missed what is the bigger picture.

As property buyer I would rather have MRT station with elevated covered walkway just a short distant away.
As property buyer i would rather have a vibrant retail at ground rather than "dead" retail for all the conveniences.
If Ekovest going to pass the saving in the form cheaper rental rate to retailers to encourage them to open the shop earlier so that the retails can be occupied soonest possible. Retailers have stronger holding power as well while waiting for the footfall to build up.
I would also rather have a VP on residential property where all components such as retails and office are completed at same time rather than in phases.
I would also rather Ekovest honor the full LAD.

Then again, cannot stop anyone commenting about the raw concept. To be honest it is not my cup of tea as well however other matters are more pressing concern in my book.

Perhaps some of you have read this, sharing this here for those who wants to understand the concept behind the design.

"As raw as sushi"
"Leftover construction materials"
"Minimal plastering"
"Bare finishes"

I guess the approach is very drastic as people who put their money in to a development expect to be able to quantify their investment but when the developer go with a sustainability concept with the keywords use above, is as though they are sending a message they they are using a heavy cost cutting measure

Those need to walk through "unfinished construction site" to reach home will certainly appreciate their well appointed home.

My only issue with their approach is they took the bare concept literally to the point that all the wires dangling, walls and pillars with rough cement patches, nails sticking out. I hope it is just unfinished work and they will put in effort to smooth this out

It is not VP yet. Propcafe just update the latest info to share. All like jump the gun haha...maybe the lift would be painted like in the pic above eventually? Personally, i felt tat the cyberworld is so critical to ekc developer. They are trying to come out something different..good try. Just let them finish their job and we will see n shoot if really not feasible to live. Sa far it looks ok and the mall doesnt feel dusty becoz of the raw design.

honestly if you run your hand over some of the exposed wall, you will get dust on your hand de...…

they didn't even bother to put sealant if they decided not to tile them up. this part I really cant accept.

Tiles up or normal wall with paint also with dusts on hand if you touch on it. Matter of more or less. Raw wall may attract more dust becoz of the raw surface. Sealant it will be a good idea. Developer if read here..pls consider it ha

when I said dust, it doesn't mean the dust from outside that stick to the wall.

its the residual from raw cement. next time you are there, just swap your hand over the exposed wall, yr whole palm will stick with white powder.

Btw, my comment is not base on propcafe pictures. It was on the mall that has been open for months..
