i had to change my wiper because 1 was completely torn clean (don't ask me why, i also dunno)
changed to piaa blade refill (compatible with our stock wiper frame)

personally i don't recommend to lift up as it *may* reduce the arm's spring tension.
wiper arms much more expensive than wiper blades/blade refills even if it's expensive piaa

i also use rain x on all my glasses on all the cars in my household smile.gif

Current mileage 90K, just change gear oil MT85.

Now when changing gear need to press to end to change gear and it still hard to change , is this any sign of any parts need to be change? It seem "kong" when I press clutch pedal... shocking.gif

I think Spec 3+ is a good alternative to Clutchmaster FX400 from a few other forums but not sure. More interested in the Spec 3+ due to it being easier on your left foot lol, at least that's what I have come across.

Other than that, the stock Exedy is fine just that it'll overheat very easily and lose grip in traffic jams.

Normally just drain and fill suddenly thought of flushing might need more.

Guess just drain and fill is good enough then.

Update on my case:

Checked on SC on 15 Jul, saying clutch just soft a bit, still can use
Quoted by SC on clutch change need 3 days work, 2.5K

However, clutch JAM temporary (10 sec), can't change gear during overtake...
Annoying cizee sound heared.

Just order master clutch pump and will arrange a time to change it first.

Buy the parts outside then change outside also. Cheaper if your car not under warranty anymore. Bukit Indah got one reliable workshop.

Buy the parts outside then change outside also. Cheaper if your car not under warranty anymore. Bukit Indah got one reliable workshop.

Car placed in the SC now and they need around 3 day to change it... WTF

Harlow... bodo... its simple maths

Our engine mapping runs on AFR. So you want more power u adjust that also.

If you double the fuel, your car more makan minyak but also more power... but which sports car not makan minyak de right?

But if you just double the minyak where got use? Not enuf air... combustion not complete. So at the same time you double the air intake also, thats why sports car got less restrictive air intake mah... more air into engine more easily the minyak burn.

Hence, double both the Air & Fuel at the correct Ratio, you can double the power output of your car.

This is why highly tuned engine with the same engine can produce double/triple the horse power!!

bodoh.. that's providing downforce (or lifting) depending on how u configure it.. nothing to do with HP bodoh.

But if you generate enuf lift to half the weight of the car, then theoractically your HP would have doubled cause the same power needs to push only half the normal weight.

Hence u see F1 drivers not fat like Barney...

First page got the list of the part numbers also that's where I referred to when I ordered my clutch parts 8 months ago if that link is still alive.

But I only replaced the CSC, Clutch Disc and Pressure Plate. The RM55+ part and Master Cylinder is still the original.

Under warranty is very good but if want to replace from own pocket then I'll advise getting the parts from outside authorised dealers the prices are cheaper.

Actually the Trinity clutch set posted few pages back is very cheap compared to getting the OEM Exedy clutch and plate.

Actually the Trinity clutch set posted few pages back is very cheap compared to getting the OEM Exedy clutch and plate.

my car still got full warranty for like 27k km more.

by csc you mean crc clutch release control?

if i were to replace the parts, i would most likely be sourcing clutch master or just stay back stock.

Yeap Concentric Slave Cylinder 2324A080 or other people might call Clutch Pump/Cylinder Clutch Release Control. No idea why so many names for this particular part just that I call it CSC because that's what the Americans call this part in their manual boxes.

Or the hydraulic system equivalent of a throwout bearing lol.

The RM55 part is also known as Slave Cylinder, which I have also bought outside and it's now sitting in my trunk as a spare part...

Cause my clutch was already slipping and that part was the last to arrive as it was back ordered and had to be shipped from Germany where it is manufactured lol.

But this part is outside of the gearbox so can replace anytime if necessary.

Harlow... bodo... its simple maths

Hi all, any 2nd hand owner of inspira here? any review?
Inspira is it considered as reliable car in term of maintaining other than engine oil/filter/sparkplug/cvt oil any other thing? how much maintaining price yearly assume drive 20k per annual.
And inspira got 3yr or 5 yr warranty? thinking to find 2yr car, but considering other factor like FC/Roadtax/car maintainance. 1.8 CVT seems cheap for roadtax but not much in 2nd hand market mostly 2.0..

not reliable, things 1 7 break
everything also expensive
in 1 year and 8 months ownership i spent more than 20k. (to be fair, suspension, 2nd set of wheels, asc etc accounted for as well)

33k km mileage.

only 3 year warranty and mine expiring soon.

consider preve, strong chassis.
inspira weak chassis. weak everything, everything break, and when replace super expensive.

well im the guy who can review it as 2nd buyer for 2.0 cvt.
1. internal car sound here & there, dashboard, drawer, steering sounds when go thru uneven road.
2. external sound like suspension kluk kluk sound you can check on 1st page.
3. EO you can buy from Tesco like full syn 5w40 about RM150 (half year change once assume 10k KM), if you go SC or Shop will cost you around 220.
4. normal CVT oil if you service RM41x4 (40k km service if you buy from Proton part). If change cvt filter then diff story
5. diff price on roadtax for 1.8 & 2.0 not much.
6. spark plug can last for around 100k km so not so worry.
7. FC is higher than those 1.5 or 1.6 cc car so dont compare so much
8. car maintenance is higher as parts all not cheap.
9. driving 2.0 cvt feeling under power liao so i assume 1.8cvt will have that feeling too if not worse than. (of course you can hv some tuning)
10. if you car still hv warranty then you need a lot of free time as you need to visit SC often and wait there to fix here n there.

above statement are based on my car only. other than these things, you always can hv some tuning for better FC, security, comfort and feel free to go through tis forum biggrin.gif

*
u butthurt ow many day from insapla vs preve tered? haha, suspension , 2nd set wheel, asc etc its own mao.. i can live without it

QUOTE(darklordzz @ Jul 28 2015, 07:14 AM)
This car sell also nobody wan to buy.

I'm on manual but i hear CVT maintenance quite expensive....

Warranty ... mine is extended to 7 years (2015). Dunu previous year models got extended anot.
*
wad diff? i guess only cvt oil n filter?
Urs is what year? proton own extend to 7 yr? so many yr ah

QUOTE(iguana_tan @ Jul 28 2015, 10:13 AM)
well im the guy who can review it as 2nd buyer for 2.0 cvt.
1. internal car sound here & there, dashboard, drawer, steering sounds when go thru uneven road.
2. external sound like suspension kluk kluk sound you can check on 1st page.

*
very good review, how much u bought and what year manufacture? those sound in uneven road? ratting sound or what? fc i guess not much diff with 1.6? my current car 10km/lit, i guess insapla newer tech n cvt around that..

My car still new, baru send 1 time service. Kenot compare. Yea but my agent tell me mine is 7 years extended warranty. (I never verify la tongue.gif )

Think of it this way - you are maintaining a car that is originally worth around RM 120K with some cipraks localized parts. Maintenance higher than your average proton is a given.

I hear the CVT always give problem? - at high rpm it burns out after awhile then car will ask you to stop. Read somewhere in the thread; can't find it.

llaw you still facing this?
https://www.brakes4u.co.uk/detail.asp?id=2889 during which time the odd “Chirp” of brake noise may be heard when starting from cold in damp and cold conditions at walking pace speed.
maybe that's the deal with ceramic based pads lol

I still heard noise/vibration when doing full stop. And also when I letting go brake from full stop - auto car will creep forward. The noise/vibration can only be heard from 1km/h to 0km/h.

even until now? it's been sometime already right?

my car now faces that since the akebono brake pads i gotten is different part number and from outlook and characteristics, ceramic based or at least more ceramic content compared to the original stock that's seemingly more metallic contents.

but other than the random/intermittent "chirps"/squeaks, the braking is damn silent even under hard brake. and the pad feel is just thumbup.gif

i already ordered another set of redstuff fronts as spare in case i finish this one fast as well lol.

Yea. Quite long time already. No sound at all during braking or even hard braking. Sound only come out when the speed drop to almost 0 ... Like from 1-0km/h.
Apart from that no complain. Low dust and superb braking biggrin.gif

RM500 for Pressure Plate + Clutch Disc is extremely cheap. I bought mine separately so it's approx RM300 more expensive. Good bargain you got there.

well atm EBC red is actually more expensive thanks to our shitty currency even without tax.
still good to compare against akebono ceramic pads for own reference hehe

next shipment should be 1 red rear +yellow front and a disc rotor brows.gif
thinking BSD or GD for track usage only while daily drive stick with the current TRW's replacement.
it doesn't seem like a lot of work to replace the rotors either lol

yes it is damn expensive. however if you consider back our original rotor pricing, it is surprisingly still cheaper than that, while being performance oriented tongue.gif

planning to buy a second hand inspira, saw a few for sale in mudah and one caught my eyes. 2013 model, mileage 20k-29k, with evo 10 bodykit selling for rm51,800.

went there and the sales guy told me its NOT a 2013 model, its 2011 then i ask him y he put 2013 in his ad? he said if put 2011 noboby will come and view the car shocking.gif

2nd thing is, the mileage is 45k which i dun even bother to ask since i ord know wat kind of dealer is this.

and the 3rd thing is, when the aircond is on the cold mode, all is well. but when i turn the dial to hot i notice dusts was blowing out from the vent which seems like cigarettes ash!

thats it man, i terus cabut from there.

the car is repainted white from the original black color. there's another unit there, in black. both also almost same year and mileage so i dont bother to look. after the sales guy calculate the monthly installment for me i terus bolt from there, faster than an inspira.

look.

fact is parts have wear and tear, no matter how well an owner take care of it, sooner or later the part will wear and require replacement. then there's luck, manufacturing defects (which warranty is supposed to cover) so on and so forth.

the car was originally 120k, or at least based off of it.
parts are still from that 120k car and as such you cannot expect cheap maintenance to come with it.
If you originally planned/can afford a 120k car, inspira is a decent choice. If you couldnt and go for an inspira just because it is cheap to buy (say, 50k), then you're most likely looking at the wrong car.

although seems like there's a lot of alternatives now, case in point would be the brake pads/clutch kit), not to mention the option for half cut and what not, you will still need contacts/effort/knowledge and what not to look for them and unless you're really passionate about the car/general car guy and what not, you won't be able to access to those alternatives.
in other words, i don't expect the layman/general folks to go dig for lancer parts around a car half cut shop/junk yard.

the car is repainted white from the original black color. there's another unit there, in black. both also almost same year and mileage so i dont bother to look. after the sales guy calculate the monthly installment for me i terus bolt from there, faster than an inspira.

i see. Both unit same price? haha monthly installment how much and your dp? wad reason to cabut, haha let me consider?

hmm, my option is i greed for powah and space, got think preve before but i not really like campro.
Wanna try mivec feel, and inspira space is quite big.. About wear and tear, i try to choose below 3yr car with low mileage like below 40k, so i can drive another 20k before some major wear n tear, then can last few year again if all go smoothly.

About maintain the car and wear tear, i know that find a halfcut or junkyard will get lower price, but i not sure where to find or how to begin, as you say need to know some people as connection to bring you and teach.

- Mivec feel is overrated, it's a frigging Toyota DVVT

- Give you a scenario Har, let's say owner is me. Heavy track driver and overall car abuser. Mileage and year of ownership low, but the wear and tear no need me to elaborate lo.
I can also guarantee you that visually not easy to inspect also.

Secondly, female driver ah, lets say super low mileage, 10k km /6 months oil change, but I change it 2 years later because mileage 2k only. What's that warning sign on the dashboard? Dunno la the car can still drive no need care.

- Then how you want to learn more on half cut? I also no time to learn lol. And assume you do, who's to guarantee that half cut part no issue?

Basically, if you're aware of what you're getting into and still want to go for it stubbornly (like me hahaha), then go ahead lo lol.

Here is the original clutch after 88K KM of use.
SA said this might still can use but since I already open clutch to change the bearing, so suggest me to change also.

Bro, by any chance you got the part numbers of the new individual clutch /cover

Because :
https://forum.lowyat.net/uploads/attach-90/...-1438158336.jpg
vs http://www.exedy-aftermarket.com/english/p...l/?id=MB-CY4A-1

And from your pictures of our Stock clutch, it is confirmed that Exedy is showing the correct parts as per my website.
100% as per Exedy site I linked, so yours is undersized by outer diameter 5mm

MN132330 and MN132331

Our Stock clutch already can barely cope on high rpm clutch dumps, if it's out of spec, may have some concerns lol

lol... very good example also, but 2k for 2yrs not valid as whichever come first. even 2k for 2yrs no service i think acceptable haha.. but impossible la, mean 1k 1yrs, less than 100km permonth.. but iinm those mileage actually can be tamped? actually high but put low.. maybe only want to know better is from the service book if available..

Halfcut u no jalan mea? haha, but those shop who bring in halfcut if got experience, part they bring should be ok also as they want to sell it, before they sell they need make sure thing they have is good, maybe they own got expert in inspection.

Rite.

I never look into mileage as they sure tempered it. Only look through the condition of the car if from use car.

If direct owner then mileage is trust-able.

Car with high mileage but in good car no big issue.

Car with low mileage but always track then got issue. LOL~~~

Those are merely examples ma.
Low mileage but female driver that don't know a damn thing about cars I would also worry, potentially more than someone who abuse the car but comes clean /be honest of it.

People always say female driver /owner good ma, but when you know the way they maintain cars (my sister /mom being good examples), I would stay away from those cars also.

if it is within my abilities i would prefer to buy new smile.gif
but i have bought used/old cars, like the 1998 kancil manual, for rm2k cash.

and that's what spiralled me down to manual transmission and how i ended up who/what i am today.

Update on new clutch kit:

Been using 3 day until now, change gear feel more heavy then before. Maybe because of Proton original gear oil as I always use MT85 or the clutch still new, beside this, no issue smile.gif

Anyone here manage to get excess from windshield claim? Ask sc last time the replacement is around 800-1k. And need to submit claim by yourself. I'm lazy and don't want waste my annual leave..
OR any cermin shop will return to you the excess?

the one that damaged my rotor was the stock akebono that came with the car as per the images i whatsapp'd you smile.gif
nothing to do with EBC.

and buying from UK lower price especially can combine other items to save shipping.
46 pounds *6 = 276
150USD * 3.9 = 585

also our ebc pads front is "1614"
rear is "1563"
2 for green, 3 for red, 4 for yellow.

examples:
DP21614 = greenstuff front.
DP31563C = redstuff rear
DP41614R = yellowstuff front.

so the image you shown, not for our car also laugh.gif

no.

again, matter of luck.

my shipments of ebc stuff are between 1-2k++
3 shipments never kena.

if you unlucky, under rm500 also kena.
die die they also want tax you minimum rm500 + ~36%
if lucky, rm10k item also no tax.
