Call the tax office branch that your tax file resides for verification

mind sharing more info?
personal BE or B or company level?
for what purposes?

or
Pay Balance of Tax In Instalments

If` until 30th April of a year of assessment, you have not settled in full the tax payable for that period, you can apply for payment of the balance of tax in instalments. The procedure to be followed is to forward a letter of appeal to the Collection Unit of the branch where your physical file is maintained. The said letter must be received by the Collection Unit before 30th April of the relevant year. However, please note that even if the appeal is approved, late payment penalty will still be imposed.

Tax amount a bit high but income no good these few months.

Thinking to pay half first, in the process of getting some loan from my siblings. If success then can settle the rest by the end of the month.

Still, no sure what code to use. Previously paid in one payment, using code 095.

if you got the approval, then my bet is 084 Bayaran Ansuran Cukai – Individu
as 095 Bayaran Cukai Pendapatan (tidak termasuk skim ansuran)

do read this,..hope it is applicable...

2. What is the extended filing period for tax returns?
The filing of all income tax return forms that falls between March and June 2020 is extended by two months. Thus, an individual with employment income is given until June 30 to file his income tax return as opposed to filing the same on April 30. Meanwhile, an individual with business source income is given until August 31 to file his tax income return as opposed to June 30. The same two-month extension is also given to companies whose income tax return filing is due between March and June 2020.

3. Is the timeline for tax payments extended as well?
As the filing of income tax returns are extended by two months, it follows that tax payments will also be extended as payment only needs to be made within 30 days upon filing of the returns.

thus hopefully, you can submit 1 shot by the due date instead of installment,

I bought quite some amount of books (and still keep the receipt) last year from Popular and Kinokuniya.

While I aware that books are one of the tax rebate that I can apply for, but I was wondering is there any requirements? (like the receipt must mention my name just like normally when we bought laptop we have to give our name and IC for tax purpose)

If the tax invoice receipt bears tax payer name name, it'll be the best.
Otherwise, under other circumstances, an official receipt is still acceptable.

Books/Magazine receipts won't have your name typically.

If let say I resigned from company A in April 2019, and join company B in May 2019, and now I only get EA form from my current employer company B. Is it ok I declare on this 8 month income? I am unable to get from company A, called and email their HR but no reply in MCO period

That's not right... you must get the EA from Company A.
Else you calculate the earnings from Jan-Apr 2019 based on the payslips received.

Hi, I am helping my family member to get a new PC and I would like to know a bit more about claiming income tax for this under lifestyle section.

In order to be able to claim, is it a must for the PC to be in a single receipt, and addressed to him?

How about if I buy individual components from separate sellers on Shopee / Lazada, would I still be able to claim?

Thanks.

Yes, it's better to have tax invoice or official receipt under the tax payer name.

Yes, he can make claim and make sure all the loose parts can be assembled into a fully functional computer.

Is there a difference? smile.gif

It is actually over payment payback after taking into account the reliefs allowed.
