Hi, can I know whether the lifestyle tax relief is going to implement on next year income tax assessment 2017 (submit in year 2018)?
Where can I get more details information?
As I know the lifestyle tax relief constitutes purchase of computer, laptop, internet subscription, gym, reading materials and so on for max RM2500 per year.
My questions are 1. How many year of the receipt can I use to claim? 2. For computer I claim at year 1 for RM1000 (example), will this RM1000 take into account for next year (year 2) which means year 2 i only can claim RM 1500 only?
Thanks if someone can answer my inquiries.

QUOTE(MUM @ Aug 19 2019, 01:33 PM) my take is.... income tax reference is only if you want to loan higher sum.... EPF refer is to confirm your income level and consistancy of that income if you have EPF records, and intent to borrow not above the threshold amount, pay higher downpayment, and yr DSR is still ok,.....then it think it should not be a problem getting aloan. Thank you MUM for your explanation. Cheers.

Hi,
I would like to inquire about personal income tax.
In the past, my friend does not have to submit income tax due to income does not reach the tax bracket but December 2019 salary include bonus that will be pay out this month end is having PCB of RM20 means he has to submit his personal income tax for 2019 in next year.
If his final tax is zero on next year when submit the tax assessment but he already paid the tax of RM20, will LHDN refund the PCB paid? How is the process?
Thank you.

Hi,
If an individual works in Singapore more than 1 year. Does he consider as a tax resident in Singapore? If yes, is that correct that he need to submit personal income tax in Singapore, and not in Malaysia.
If that individual have return from investments not tax-exempted like P2P lending, the interest received need to report in Malaysia income tax or Singapore income tax?
Thank you for guidance.

QUOTE(GrumpyNooby @ May 31 2020, 01:13 PM) That is common sense because income is not earned or derived in Malaysia which is in compliance of Malaysia Income Tax Act 1967 1. First, determine tax residency status of the country one resides especially for employment 2. Second, then determine if the income is earned or derived in the country of residency 3. Third, start to assess if the source of income is taxable or not in accordance to country of residency local laws QUOTE(MUM @ May 31 2020, 01:14 PM) That is common sense because income is not earned or derived in Malaysia which is subject to Malaysia Income Tax Act 1967 “For an individual residing in Malaysia for a period exceeding 183 days, the individual is deemed to be a resident for tax purposes in Malaysia under the Income Tax Act 1967 (ITA 1967).” “However, if the said individual does not receive any income deriving from Malaysia and only receives employment income derived from Singapore, then the individual is still not liable for tax in Malaysia.” Oh relax guys. Thank you for the info.

QUOTE(GrumpyNooby @ May 31 2020, 01:23 PM) Also read the additional clause: Any earnings remitted to Malaysia from abroad will be also exempted under Paragraph 28, Schedule 6 of the ITA 1967. Ok. Thanks. This post has been edited by rocketm: May 31 2020, 01:27 PM

Hi anyone familiar with partnership tax?
Is the partnership is making profit and decide not to distribute it, does that mean the CP30 is zero?
If the partnership is making profit and decide to distribute it based on the profit sharing ratio, is the income need to take up in Form B row B2 is CP30 A18 + part B?
