I got my tax refund less than what I should get.

I suspect it's something to do about the penalty I may have got for my recent "semakan Khas" audit for 2012.

How do I check this for sure? Online efiling got details or not?

I check the e-Lejar, only stated the refund figure with the understated figure. But not showing any penalty deduction whatsoever.

Pls help! I want my money back

even for us last year, the refund given was less than the one reflected in e-filing (almost half). They mentioned in their mail that it was due to some excess on tax refunds from the previous years. did not ask for more details.

Part time Uber and/or Grabcar drivers, do take note:

QUOTE
He said if the earnings from providing the service, coupled with their fixed income exceeded the minimum threshold of RM30,000 a year, they would be subjected to taxation.

"The income (from Uber and GrabCar) must be declared as additional income in Form B," he told a press conference during IRB's Hi-tea with the media here today.

Hi I have a question.. What if I work for 2 different company's for 1 year..

Scenario is this

1. I was working for a company from Jan to March 2016 but unfortunately our department had to close down so they ended our contract March 2016
2. I start with my new (still current company) March 28, 2016 up to present which means I work 2016 March 28 to December

Now I have 2 EA forms 1 from my previous company for months Jan-March and 1 from my current company April to December

I believe I cannot file this via eFiling.. should I just go straight to hasil?

Anyone have this experience before? Maybe you can share some insights. Thanks

Socso Employee Contribution Tax Relief up to RM 250

Kindly note that effective Jan. 1, 2016, the Malaysian government had introduced a new Socso employee contribution tax relief of up to a maximum of RM250 per year.

By default the highest SOCSO deduction is RM19.75 per month. So total claimable on RM237 per year vmad.gif bye.gif

Mine was similar a few years back. 2 different companies in the same year. Just add them up both and fill up the amount. The company tax reg. no use the current one.

Keep the copies of course.

They should just put max RM237 to avoid confusion.

I think it should be eligible for claim as it includes smartphones and tablets now.

RM 2.5k per year for lifestyle tax relief expands eligibility for books, broadband subscription fee, gym membership fee and etc.
Do google for the eligible coverage under this new lifestyle tax relief.

Everything needs receipt or tax invoice no matter how. They must be minimum got the name of the taxpayer.
I tried to find where to get the tax invoice but failed to do so. If you know how, do share with me.
For 11street, it's pretty straight forward.

just got full tax invoices from Lazada for my 2 smartphone purchased this year: Feb and Mar.

Just need to have online chat with Lazada rep, and they'll generate the tax invoice in PDF and email to you within 24-48 hours.
