this denied jayz bias/lean towards nvidia like someone said before.

is the pricing same to compare to malaysia?.
im not up to date with msia prices.

jayz did say he's eager to do the review of the R9 390 in his Fury X review because he's impressed by it

QUOTE(Acid_RuleZz @ Jul 7 2015, 09:01 PM)
Marginally shorter. Indeed the performance is slightly lower but it still 290x tier.

I think will price it similar or slightly lower than GTX 980.
Damn, that card is faster than my 290x.  doh.gif

Nah.. my TF4 cooler is not that impressive compare to the beefy TF5, and i'm too lazy and cheap to put it underwater. laugh.gif

Similar GPU score compare to jz2c 390@1200mhz

It's like defeating the purposes and advantages of short PCB...

But well, if it can perform as it should, I guess most (with large casings) won't complain at all.

probably sapphire lazy to fabricate new shorter tri-x cooler for the fury.. simply slap in the existing cooler and sell it straight away.. the +ve side is the cooling performance shud be superb.

GTX970 times up, only advantage it had is the lower power consumption.

IMO they missing the point of short PCB Fury uses, AIB can simply put a huge blower fan at the end there and blow the heat away out of the case. since they remove the DVI connector there is plenty of area on the backpanel to channel air out of the card (reducing noise because less air resistance). I would rather have that kind of cooler that remove heat out of the case than a good cooler dump the heat back to the case.

looks like 980ti SLI still win against fury X crossfire

Though on other website it is showing that both cards are trading blows

i've anticipated on the huge heatsink will defeat the purpose of short form-factor advantage. Just because the fury TDP is high, the need of huge heatsink is inevitable.

Looking forward on how AMD managed to do the small heatsink to dissipates Fiji heat on the Nano.

Not only that it will further cut down more than Fury for sure. Maybe less shader and TMU.

980TI's true potential is when boost clock over 1.5k (or 1.4k for average). Not sure if most cooler can sustain the boost clock without throttle though.

Giga G1 is a non-ref beast with practically no power limit, no surprise if it is a clear win. It's performance is almost 2x of 970.

Very rare to have 980 Ti that can go over 1500Mhz boost
Most are 1400-1500, this isn't 970/980.

My bad, the average should be bout 1.4k.

1.5k is for luckier cards.

Ref Watercool Asic 70 should hit 1500 aslong temps are below 65.
U gain 13mhz below 65. U gain another 13mhz when vrm are watercool.

Non ref zotac asic 65 hits 1500, 70 hits 1530.
Suspect better quality vrm.

All titan x can hit 1400 on air. Only one dude had issue n card was later rmaed.

Oc depends on three factors
1. Asic
2. Qc on vrm
3. Pll on vram

You can fix no 2 with non ref cards. But 3 also luck of the draw. Non ref cards that haa high asic n high vram clockinh can clock higher on the core.
