I'd say its a tad disappointing that its not able to beat 980ti @ 1440p. With the improvement with respect to the R9 290X, thats huge. But as a competitor to big maxwell, nope. Not helped by gameworks introduction, saving face really. Hope for newer drivers, not betas, couldnt come faster.
nvidia has licked this round. We'll see what happens @ 14/16nm.
If anything at all, this card will be paving way for the new HBM, kudos to AMD for that. Lets see if there will be an OC version of it and how far the AIB partners push it.
No wonder Lisa Su said that the dual GPU Fury is going to be the fastest card ever. With that said, I'm looking forward for Nano now.
Licked?
BTW, Fury X is going to be ref only, just like the Titan X.
Still, I want to see how AMD is going to compete with Intel in the CPU front. Will be quite interesting to see how Zen fares against Broadwell/Skylake...
AMD Zen will be another hype again... But, this time, like usual, don't give high-hope to it.
Hopefully Zen will not be a disappointment - if it's a disappointment then Intel will have absolutely no incentive to improve their chips...
I miss the days where AMD and Intel were actively competing each other for better products - still remember where you can get massive improvements in performance for each leap in generation?
If AMD went down under and we get an Intel/nVidia monopoly things are not going to bode well, especially for the PC gaming community.
Correct me if im wrong. Was talking with friend and below topic comes out.
His power supply 850 watts.
He said choose nvdia will saves power.
But no matter you choose which card, your power input/consumption is 850 watts.
Am i right ?
Incorrect - the PSU will only supplies the required power. In fact, lower power consumption often leads to better longevity due to less load on the PSU.
Titan X road lines looked to be half transparent, just like on the first image. Is that Alpha channel error? Discounting the black and gray comments, look at the texture. Fury X's road texture looked sharper, the pillar have better shading. Tanks looked sharper on Titan X but textures looked more washed out.
Why you didn't trust Gigabyte? Which brand usually have better components? Happened to me, it was my Asus motherboard shutting the PC down due to power surge, really weird because my PSU ain't exactly the lousy model. Then I turned off the power surge setting in my MOBO and blackout happens very rarely now. Maybe once a month? I can't remember the last time it happened.
This is the first time though...
Anyone fancy a Fury X in a 11.5 liter form factor?

Asus strix certainly will cool down this beast well, hand itchy to buy r9 fury but my CPU is still FX8350 scared will bottleneck this beast. Hopefully dx12 will improve fx cpu performance hopefully hahahahaha.....
I'm waiting to see how Sapphire 'remix' the Fury...
