Any water filter with tank has risks of germs contamination in the tank, that's why now many brands come out with tankless water purifier

Since u alrd installed undersink filter, I assume u don't want to spend another 3k on tankless water filter with hot water function

Just get those RM50 kettle or RM150 xiaomi water dispenser, just clean their tank frequently and your baby will be happy  biggrin.gif

Ah okay I am planning to get one of those xiaomi water dispenser too. Hopefully it will work well.

Does those Xiaomi water dispenser come with water filter?

It works well on hot water, just to make sure at least change and clean the tank once a week.

My coffee machine water in the tank have jelly type thingy in the monitor very close if i dont wash it. This the only problem.

Since you already have filter installed, get those instant 3 second water boiler. These type save energy. And can fill as you go.

Khind, Seers are the ones to look out for.

Hi.I found water from the bathroom which from the tank dont have chlorine taste at all.Any idea why isit so?Any undersink water filter recomendations?
*
Your kitchen sink is probably direct, while bathroom is from your tank. Therefore, the water has time to sit in your tank, the chlorine evaporates and you do not taste it anymore. I had a customer in Cyberjaya with exact this issue, where he lived really close to the treatment facility and the chlorine was well pronounced, but once in tank, it has time to evaporate.

I think your calculation is not correct, as the Self care Plan is RM 320 / year right?

So it should be RM 3,200 + (RM 320 x 5 years) = RM 3,200 + RM 1,600 = RM 4,800

Rental is as per your calculation, comes up to RM 5,040 and the difference of RM 240 can consider as extra warranty, as LG Puricare is warranty for 7 years if taken under the rent-to-own plan.

I have since decided to move from Aquaphor to the LG Puricare due to the following reasons:

1) App Connected and real time monitoring of filter health, with Aquaphor I just change it every year and the filter cost is more expensive compared to the LG.
2) One Touch Self Cleaning initialisation or machine cleans itself every week (at my preset time, can be done using app), there's only one other brand on the market which does this but doesn't have app and is more expensive.
3) Compact dimension, can be place on counter top and flush against the wall ( I got WD516AN in Navy Blue) and looks elegant enough
4) Hot Water Temperature can be selected at 40DegC, 75DegC and 85DegC
5) Tankless Design for both hot and cold, which translates to no microorganism breeding ground + not needing maintenance cleaning.
6) Self Service Filter change, and filter delivered to doorstep at no additional cost.
7) Cost Savings from Energy Saving (No Tank so continuous standby heating or cooling)
8) Filter Send to doorstep at no additional cost
9) Not RO Water and water quality actually tastes better than Aquaphor filter
10) The Auto Up Down feature can be switched off, important as my parents find it annoying
11) Inverter Compressor = very minimal to absolutely no noise when its working
12) Installation done by LG Malaysia Team and Warranty also by LG Malaysia, hassle free.

If you are considering a Hot, Cold or ambient water purifier dispenser, LG is one of the smartest and affordable option available right now.

I just installed mine on 1st Sept 2023 and if you looking for promo, can PM me smile.gif

The app interface looks something like below:

I'm in a conundrum too - thinking between Coway, Cuckoo, and LG.

1. Coway has NSF certification
2. Cuckoo has mineral water
3. LG has the best tech, from what I see - tankless + self-service.

But I feel like mineral water is a must-have at the same time. Any idea? I can't find if Puricare is mineral water or not.

Hi bro, LG uses ultra-filtration, not RO, so it is still mineral water, only 9 types of heavy metals are removed.

The filters for our older models have NSF certification, for our latest models HQ is still in the midst of applying, but highly likely the filter components are the same.

Match the code MDJ648444 at the NSF website and on the filter itself
https://info.nsf.org/certified/dwtu/Listing...ModlStd=ModlStd

So there u have it, LG has the best tech, best price, mineral water and NSF certification, wanna pm me already? brows.gif

Mineral water is absolute BS. By that they mean it is not RO, but water in Malaysia has so very few minerals that they do not affect your life at all. If it is not RO, then it is mineral, but those companies who claim that they are special in this regard, it is a false claim and should be ignored. Coway is okay, but stay away from Cuckoo, they have nothing behind them, but use this unfair marketing. Like a few years ago, they got some limescale removing balls certified by NSF and then claimed that their filters are NSF cert.... Avoid.

Coway is RO Water, and possibly adds back minerals at last stage of filtration, depends on model of filter.

Cuckoo is not RO, seem similar to LG, whereby it retains the mineral content present in the water. (based on the website marketing wording, doesn't seem like cuckoo filter cartridge is adding additional minerals)

Based on my own comparison prior to purchasing LG, LG's closest competitor is Jiksoo (only the tankless model). And I do ask my friends / family which I recommend LG, to go check out Jiksoo and see if they like it better. Jiksoo main downside is the fixed design water outlet and non inverter compressor, design wise to me personally, LG is better with the ability to rotate the water spout 180 degrees.

The brands you listed above, from my own comparison most water purifiers are tankless only for the ambient and hot water, but for cold water, so far only LG and Jiksoo are completely tankless.

LG does have some downside too being tankless.

For hot water LG can dispense a maximum of 1l, and needs rest for 20 minutes before it can start dispensing hot water again.

Also max 85degC hot water is hot enough for beverage but for instant mee, it needs to be hotter. My old Seers 3 second boiler, can output 95degC which was better for instant noodles, anyhow we don't really use our dispenser for instant noodles, so its a good trade off for me.

Also, a 5 second full power heating in microwave, can get the water up to boiling temp as well. Anyhow it's a point to consider. Some dispenser do mention they can output 90degC but in actual fact the temp is closer to 85DegC.

For cold water, on LG I tested a max of 2l to 2.3l can be output at a temperature of 17degC (at this point, it drops to 1bar of coldness) and takes about 1hr to get back to 3 bar of cold level. At 3 bar, the output temp is about 6degC to 9degC as measured by my cooking thermometer.

Ambient water is unlimited, and there is setting to dispense continuously for 3 minutes.

If you need continuous supply of hot water of more than 1l at one go, possibly need to look elsewhere but for general use, so far after nearly 3 weeks, we are still happy with it and have since replaced our ageing Seers dispenser and undersink Aquaphor filter.

I can share with you the comparison chart if you want.

LG purifier and filter is also halal certified by JAKIM.

Aquaphor's main market nowadays is Europe, they do not care about NSF. They are certified in Europe and Russia and through these certs they comply to NSF. And honestly, after my recent experience with NSF when we had serious, unacceptable issue with out NSF cert components and 0 reaction from NSF, I start doubting their integrity. If you certify something and put your name on it, then you are responsible for it, can't just hide your head in the sand... We went out of our way to have all components in Disruptor to be NSF cert and it backfired...

I doubt Jiksoo has NSF. Only very large brands can get it easily. I dealt with another European large company that had excellent filters, but after burning close to 200k and years in attempts of getting NSF42 they simply gave up and concentrated on European and Middle East market. It turned into an entry barrier and money grab IMO. They are also protecting their market, but they don't realize that many other countries want to rely on their NSF cert, since the local cert bodies can't offer anything similar.

Very professional review from a happy LG customer thumbup.gif

SK Magic Hyper is competitive to the LG, but their water tap is moved manually, has less preset volume, most importantly it's more expensive (both machine or future service package), not sure if it has auto internal sterilisation function too since their website didn't list it.
