The equivalent Europe Cert that is similar to NSF would be which one yea?
*
LGA TÜV for Germany, but other countries have their own. There is no 1 body for EU, unlike NSF for USA

Very professional review from a happy LG customer  thumbup.gif

SK Magic Hyper is competitive to the LG, but their water tap is moved manually, has less preset volume, most importantly it's more expensive (both machine or future service package), not sure if it has auto internal sterilisation function too since their website didn't list it.
*
Yup it's more expensive, no app based monitoring, filter access is from the bottom of machine instead of front like LG.

The manual adjustment water tap is ok, but it cannot be rotated 180 degrees left / right unlike LG (meaning can't go flat against the wall, for smaller foot print).

Has UV sterilisation at output similar to LG.

After comparison and looking at overall cost of all these machines, I decided to get LG. Initially was looking at Intrix as well, but LG at just RM2/day for Hot/Cold/Ambient is a win. I'm monitoring our electricity usage, and there's no significant jump after installing the LG purifier since early this month ( on my image pls view month of Sept, overall reduction maybe due to less opening of the fridge as well)

Coway is RO Water, and possibly adds back minerals at last stage of filtration, depends on model of filter.

Cuckoo is not RO, seem similar to LG, whereby it retains the mineral content present in the water. (based on the website marketing wording, doesn't seem like cuckoo filter cartridge is adding additional minerals)

Based on my own comparison prior to purchasing LG, LG's closest competitor is Jiksoo (only the tankless model). And I do ask my friends / family which I recommend LG, to go check out Jiksoo and see if they like it better. Jiksoo main downside is the fixed design water outlet and non inverter compressor, design wise to me personally, LG is better with the ability to rotate the water spout 180 degrees.

The brands you listed above, from my own comparison most water purifiers are tankless only for the ambient and hot water, but for cold water, so far only LG and Jiksoo are completely tankless.

LG does have some downside too being tankless.

For hot water LG can dispense a maximum of 1l, and needs rest for 20 minutes before it can start dispensing hot water again.

Also max 85degC hot water is hot enough for beverage but for instant mee, it needs to be hotter. My old Seers 3 second boiler, can output 95degC which was better for instant noodles, anyhow we don't really use our dispenser for instant noodles, so its a good trade off for me.

Also, a 5 second full power heating in microwave, can get the water up to boiling temp as well. Anyhow it's a point to consider. Some dispenser do mention they can output 90degC but in actual fact the temp is closer to 85DegC.

For cold water, on LG I tested a max of 2l to 2.3l can be output at a temperature of 17degC (at this point, it drops to 1bar of coldness) and takes about 1hr to get back to 3 bar of cold level. At 3 bar, the output temp is about 6degC to 9degC as measured by my cooking thermometer.

Ambient water is unlimited, and there is setting to dispense continuously for 3 minutes.

If you need continuous supply of hot water of more than 1l at one go, possibly need to look elsewhere but for general use, so far after nearly 3 weeks, we are still happy with it and have since replaced our ageing Seers dispenser and undersink Aquaphor filter.

I can share with you the comparison chart if you want.

LG purifier and filter is also halal certified by JAKIM.

Quite comprehensive review. Have you check/compare with Intact Water Q6+?
I still surveying Intact or LG. THanks.

Intrix priced it at RM5k i think, and it's not even tankless... Not to say it lack many other features most brands have

If u have the LG ThinQ app, u can check here

My average monthly usage is 3.0L cold water, 1.7L hot water and 81.2L ambient water.
My monthly power usage for all these averages 9kWh, at my current tariff bracket, the electricity cost is only RM3.

Hi bro, LG uses ultra-filtration, not RO, so it is still mineral water, only 9 types of heavy metals are removed.

The filters for our older models have NSF certification, for our latest models HQ is still in the midst of applying, but highly likely the filter components are the same.

Match the code MDJ648444 at the NSF website and on the filter itself
https://info.nsf.org/certified/dwtu/Listing...ModlStd=ModlStd

So there u have it, LG has the best tech, best price, mineral water and NSF certification, wanna pm me already?  brows.gif

Seems like "MDJ648444" have certification of NSF 42, 54, and 401 and only up to 200 gallons of water which equivalent to around 757 litres of water. How much is this individual filter replacement cost?

Is Intact Q6+ tankless? It look pretty slim but their website has contradicting info

On top says 100% tankless, below says water tank capacity sweat.gif

But machine priced at RM3000, plus another RM500 for 2 yrs of filters and warranty, total RM3500

LG priced at RM3200, machine + Free 2 yrs of filters, RM300 cheaper, best part it comes with more functions like 10ml volume control, favourite presets auto moving tap to avoid water spillage or 180° water tap movement.

The service package go by years bro, 1 year RM320, but if u buy more years in advance, the average cost goes down.
1 yr - 320
2 yr - 600
3 yr - 870
4 yr - 1120
5 yr - 1360 (Average RM272/yr)

There are 2 filters inside, 1st one change every 6 mths, 2nd one change every 12 mths, so LG deliver only 1 filter to u the first time, the 2nd delivery they'll ship 2 filters.

They are fridge filters, 200 gallons is probably barely enough, but in ok territory for 6 months. I think 2 of us with cooking, we use about 6L per day and if I count rinsing etc we are close to 20L/day, but with a dispenser you can't rinse much anyway, so say 6L/day, 180*6=1080, but considering not every day 6L is hit, it is probably ok. But yeah, with these dispensers you better change on time.

Interestingly it says compressor free, not sure how the cooling technology is like

Also, intact seems new in the market? I didn't included it in my initial comparison due to cost, and generally didn't find any other purifier that can go flat against the wall like LG.

Ok I got confirmation, if under Self Service plan, if the usage is more than 10l/day and filters exhausted within 6 months; technician will need to be dispatched for checking and customer have to pay RM 70 labour charge (inclusive of filter change and checking)

If using the technician care package, then no additional charges.

The reply i got is slightly different, mainly LG HQ is only concern about whether customer request extra filter is due to worse than expected water quality; or, heavy usage / abuse.

If former (bad water quality), LG is willing to send extra filters without any charges; if request too frequently, LG may send technician to check whether it's the latter

If latter (heavy/abusive usage), I'm not sure whether customer can pay extra to have more frequent filter delivery, the machine recommended usage is 10L per day or 5 ppl per household

I know you are just a messenger, not a manufacturer or HQ, so not blaming you, but it really doesn't add up. We drink about 5L per day, just drinking, there are 2 of us. Plus cooking etc it comes close to 7L even if I don't consider rinsing etc. There are 2 of us, not 5. So in 180 days we will be close to 1200L for a couple in 6 months, while the filter is good for 200 gallons.

But maybe I am an outlier, you guys have an app, how much water you actually use? I doubt you guys stay below 5L/day for a household of 2-3, but let's see
