I know you are just a messenger, not a manufacturer or HQ, so not blaming you, but it really doesn't add up. We drink about 5L per day, just drinking, there are 2 of us. Plus cooking etc it comes close to 7L even if I don't consider rinsing etc. There are 2 of us, not 5. So in 180 days we will be close to 1200L for a couple in 6 months, while the filter is good for 200 gallons.

But maybe I am an outlier, you guys have an app, how much water you actually use? I doubt you guys stay below 5L/day for a household of 2-3, but let's see
*
I use about 5L/day and also 2 of us, so still can use a bit for rinsing while stay within the 10L/day recommended usage, but we personally don't use it for rinsing

I'm not sure what's the difference between 1800L capacity and the NSF capacity 200 gallons, anyone has experience?

I figured out already. The region is automatically set at UK/English as default, and it’s on the top right side which are not really visible. Just changed to Malaysia/English and I can see water purifier in the list already.

Yup personally even with Aquaphor filter before this, we don't use it for rinsing purpose.

Cooking yes, my average usage is about 7l to 10l for a 5 person household, will see how it holds up.

Hi bro, LG uses ultra-filtration, not RO, so it is still mineral water, only 9 types of heavy metals are removed.

The filters for our older models have NSF certification, for our latest models HQ is still in the midst of applying, but highly likely the filter components are the same.

Match the code MDJ648444 at the NSF website and on the filter itself
https://info.nsf.org/certified/dwtu/Listing...ModlStd=ModlStd

So there u have it, LG has the best tech, best price, mineral water and NSF certification, wanna pm me already?  brows.gif

that depends on the model, right? Some RO, some mineral.

Coway is RO Water, and possibly adds back minerals at last stage of filtration, depends on model of filter.

Cuckoo is not RO, seem similar to LG, whereby it retains the mineral content present in the water. (based on the website marketing wording, doesn't seem like cuckoo filter cartridge is adding additional minerals)

Based on my own comparison prior to purchasing LG, LG's closest competitor is Jiksoo (only the tankless model). And I do ask my friends / family which I recommend LG, to go check out Jiksoo and see if they like it better. Jiksoo main downside is the fixed design water outlet and non inverter compressor, design wise to me personally, LG is better with the ability to rotate the water spout 180 degrees.

The brands you listed above, from my own comparison most water purifiers are tankless only for the ambient and hot water, but for cold water, so far only LG and Jiksoo are completely tankless.

LG does have some downside too being tankless.

For hot water LG can dispense a maximum of 1l, and needs rest for 20 minutes before it can start dispensing hot water again.

Also max 85degC hot water is hot enough for beverage but for instant mee, it needs to be hotter. My old Seers 3 second boiler, can output 95degC which was better for instant noodles, anyhow we don't really use our dispenser for instant noodles, so its a good trade off for me.

Also, a 5 second full power heating in microwave, can get the water up to boiling temp as well. Anyhow it's a point to consider. Some dispenser do mention they can output 90degC but in actual fact the temp is closer to 85DegC.

For cold water, on LG I tested a max of 2l to 2.3l can be output at a temperature of 17degC (at this point, it drops to 1bar of coldness) and takes about 1hr to get back to 3 bar of cold level. At 3 bar, the output temp is about 6degC to 9degC as measured by my cooking thermometer.

Ambient water is unlimited, and there is setting to dispense continuously for 3 minutes.

If you need continuous supply of hot water of more than 1l at one go, possibly need to look elsewhere but for general use, so far after nearly 3 weeks, we are still happy with it and have since replaced our ageing Seers dispenser and undersink Aquaphor filter.

I can share with you the comparison chart if you want.

LG purifier and filter is also halal certified by JAKIM.

I'm now considering Coway kechil - nicest design, mostly tankless, and it's still mineral water. Almost pulling the trigger, unless/until I find something out lol.

I always suggest LG, not just because I'm LG agent, but with facts and figures.

Compared to LG WD518:
1) Kecil is priced RM3590 (Free 1 yr service), per year service costs RM610, LG is priced RM3200 (Free 2 yr service), per year service costs RM320.

In short, with LG u save RM1000 (3590+610 vs 3200)

2) If rental, it's RM115 vs RM90 per mth

3) LG has fully automatic moving tap, prevents water from spilling out, safer hot water use

4) LG offers volume control at 10ml interval

5) LG has stainless steel internal pipe

6) LG has UV sterilisation for water faucet

7) LG has automatic internal sterilisation function (not sure if Kecil has it or need wait technician visit)

All in all, u pay less but get more with LG

But if u prefer the design then it's all subject to personal preference la haha

If u like the sleek water tap design, in Msia ur choice probably are Wells, Intrix and PuriEarth

But they all priced RM5k+, except PuriEarth RM3k

I suggests LG for cheaper price but more functions

Wells is extremely expensive but I still love the design out of the many filters in the market

Wonder if they ever do any promo

QUOTE(ZeneticX @ Jan 27 2023, 04:00 PM)
Just dropped by the showroom today. I understand why they are secretive about the price
Definitely a premium product aimed at a niche market. Cannot deny the design is really nice though after looking at it in person. No limit to hot and cold water during continuous flow according to the salesperson, maintenance free except filter change approx annually. Auto sterilisation every 3 days. After auto sterilisation, the dirty water is automatically flushed out through the outlet into your sink outlet pipe

Need to wait around 5 - 10 secs for hot or cold water to dispense. The filtration system is all under counter, except a small filtration part near the nozzle which is replaceable as well (forgot the name).

Installation is highly dependent on the type of your counter top as they need to drill a 4cm hole to install the dispenser

I was really tempted but at last the price is a show stopper sweat.gif . There's no subscription package as well, just outright purchase with max 36 months installment depending on your bank. Just for perspective, for the same price you could get like 3 units of Coway, Cuckoo or LG's equivalent water purifier (though none of them would look as nice), or 4 units of 3M DWS2500T undersink system. I think a more direct competitor would be Intrix's One Tap system?

if you are loaded with money I recommend making an appointment to the showroom to understand more

I nearly bought an Intrix, its famous among Thermomix users.

My reservations on Intrix is:

i) It is tankless only for ambient water
ii) Hot Water is using tank, 2.6l
iii) Promo mentions energy savings, but unsure what it is measured against
iv) No Hot Water and Filter cost is pricey, RM580 /year
v) Concern on electricity and water leakage on the machine at under sink area.

If you are looking at Intrix I suggest that you also consider another under sink filter, Wells water purifier it comes with cold water + hot water and ambient water; the faucet is very cute looking with selectable temperature. Intrix I believe you need to preset below the kitchen counter.

Eventually went with LG as it is compact and go against the wall on the counter top (17mm depth only), and reasonable to own at RM 50/month for Hot (selectable 85DegC / 75DegC and 40 DegC) / ambient and cold water.

Lady boss requirement is something that doesnt taking up spaces on countertop which is why am looking at intrix as its undersink filter. laugh.gif

Actually this is the no.1 priority for us now. Ambient water is fine as our lifestyle always drink the air suam one..for cold or hot water we dont mind. Currently been boiling water from kettle for years and soon we might switch for induction cooker hence boiling hot water for hot drinks will be extremely fast as alternative later.

I dont know whether this is due to google algorithm or what i did a quick search for wells filter. The cute tap "maybe doesnt suits us" (i dont know how to explain it laugh.gif ) but after few more search i found out philips also do have some undersink water filter products.

Just need to study on its ease of maintenance for filters and of course price (looks cheaper it seems)

Wells is very expensive. I checked during Jan when they first launched and the price was RM8k - RM10k depending on package. Not sure if they dropped the price or if there's any on going promo now

If hot water is not requirement, why not go with Aquaphor under sink bro? Can look for @hestati

Another issue with Intrix is that the faucet is custom made for Intrix. And you know how often we use our kitchen faucet, I'm not sure how is the warranty or replacement fee for this faucet will be.

Its worth taking note of all these cost when deciding.

Hi with ur budget RM50/mth can consider LG WD516 (got hot, cold and ambient water) ya

Ori price is RM60/mth, but current promo is to clear stock for white color, so only RM50/mth

Or if u like more function or the design, LG WD518 is our latest model, but its RM60/mth

Ur site I think can install using an adaptor (install vertically instead of horizontally as show in pic)

Also, LG provides every year 1 time free relocation, so no worry if u keep moving every year

Why don't you go for a simple undersink filter then with a custom faucet, if the original faucet doesn't suite you. There are 2 in 1 faucets for example and one wouldn't even know there is a filter under the sink. No point going for Intrix if hot water is not a top priority
