No need UV light to kill germs but yet can drink direct?

Actually there are many methods in bacteria filtration. 3m dws2500 uses 0.2 micron nylon membrane to filter harmful bacteria such as E.Coli (diameter of 0.2 micron). Amway epsring uses UV light. Aquaphor crystal eco uses two cartridges with Aquaplen + Silver (patented technology by Aquaphor) and one cartridge with 0.1 micron membrane (can filter bacteria smaller than E.Coli)

Just google search Silver Bacteria and you can find more information about it. Hospitals use silver for bandages and even some bed sheets also have silver.
I got to know this from a video shared on lowyat previously and that is how i found Aquaphor.

Nope, cant backwash, averagely to replace the cartridge once a year depending on usage and water quality. If you do not have space to install sand filters with backwash function then 3M AP902 is your only choice. For pricing, need to PM me as lwoyat rules do not allow seller to post promotions here

i'm looking for water filter as well and came across this Schand water filter. Made in China but registered brand in German. Price wise is kinda cheap with the functionality it claim. so would like to ask all expert here what's your opinion and advise.

just installed Aqua Crystal Eco...thumb up for the fast respond from zheilwane....especially guide me how to install the filter....save me RM150 by DIY

the water taste well...my wife love it as the filter hide under the basin, giving out more space on the table top...

one of the cons of the filter does not have a stand (better not to have to prevent higher cost)....so i have to sit it in the A4 paper box to prevent it from sliding

Actually i can custom made an acrylic stand. I will provide it for customers who wants to install it above the table without the filter tap. For undersink, usually the filter will be mounted on the cabinet but since you do not have, you nd to mount on the wall or get the acrylic stand @ RM 50

Finally replaced my 10 year's old water filter with aquaphor from Zheilwane. Tap installed on tiles without breaking them as per promised. Good work!

Went to parents house for dinner yesterday, the aquaphor water taste different compared to my 3m dws1000, cant really describe it but can feel the texture is different, may be is because of the 0.1 micron filtration. TASTE GREAT. Myron649 do u feel the same or it is just me?

Any trade in promo in future? Might wanna upgrade my filter since the replacement for 3m is so expensive now.

Yes, it is just clean water no other gimmicks (so you dont have to worry about any side effects) good to drink as direct or boiling.

Installed last Saturday at my new house, no need every week back parent house collect drinking water. aquaphor crystal Eco taste good ,compare with I try drink abit tap water

My new house just finished reno and I'm finding for both outdoor and indoor water filter. Has 0% knowledge for water filter. So hope can get some knowledge. Any sifus can teach ?

Actually lowyat forums has provided all the info already in the outdoor and also indoor discussion thread, jus need to read all of them. If you do not have the time to read, based on my experience

For outdoor
1) Landed - Perfect Steel Sand filter with backwash
2) Condo - 3M AP902 without backwash

For indoor
1) Direct Drinking - Aquaphor Crystal Eco
2) Boiling - Aquaphor Crystal Solo

is panasonic water purifier any good? aquaphor system to expensive for me atm.

Panasonic has too many models, the basic one is just activated carbon. Aquaphor Solo is a cheaper alternative compared to ECO using carbon fibre block technology as well, much better than regular activated carbon.
