True, not much choices for middle classers like us, most of the filters are overpriced due to advertising and high commission to salesperson.

Budget wise bought 3m ap easy complete but wasted my money as it is not suitable for my area , water is too dirty and management does not allow us to install an outdoor filter. Filter gets clogged after a few months of usage even with my low usage.

So traded in for aquaphor and works well for me for 1year, planning to drag another few months before changing the cartridge, since the flow is still ok.

My friend has been using 3M's outdoor filter for his house for a few years now and he swears by it. Have not tried personally but am considering for next time I've to change the outdoor filter.

Plus point is it doesn't take up as much space as those rocket looking outdoor filters as its quite compact.

Any feedback or review on the 3M outdoor filter ? I prefer the minimalist look

I never use Aquaphor before, hence I can't comment.
I'm using 3M Easy Complete, prefer filter with NSF standard 42 & 53 certification. It has a very small form factor and lite, easy to DIY install and hide it under sink. I drink directly from the tap.
Replacement cartridge cost is RM170 per year coz I stocked up a few cartridges before the price increase.

I also bought 2 units 3M CTM-01 for office use (RM315 Tesco). 3M claimed manufactured in accordance to NSF 42 & 53 standard but without certification. That's why cheaper. If I want NSF standard certified drinking water, I can always replace it with c-complete cardtriges during next cartridge replacement because both Easy Complete and CTM-01 are sharing the same filter head.

Hi, just to ask something, cause i am thinking to but CTM01 but hope to get NSF53 filter standard also. Can you confirm the c-complete catridge can use directly on the CTM-01 blue/white housing? Cause on the picture it looks like c-complete catridge is bigger then original CTM01 catridge, and cant fit in the CTM01 original housing without modification.

The filter head for both CTM01 and Easy Complete is the same. To use C-Complete RC with CTM01 filter head, just remove the filter head from the housing and voila ! You got yourself a NSF certified 3M Easy Complete. If you do the math, it is way cheaper.

Any suggest for outdoor water filter? Good and cheaper budget RM1k.. What the diff between big n small filter?
