Seems like Maybank Ikhwan is the best alternative for me. Mainly on petrol. HLB wise is too much for me, I dont spend that much (10 x RM50 transactions). UOB one card (gold), capped at RM300 for petrol, still maybank ikhwan wins.

QUOTE(Ramjade @ Jun 28 2015, 05:56 PM) Use UOB one to maximise cashback from petrol. After maximum cash back, only switch to Maybank Ikhwan or else you have no card to use for groceries. I don't buy groceries, doesn't have family yet. So no prob. QUOTE(fruitie @ Jun 28 2015, 05:56 PM) Yes, I'm still trying to understand how HLB works. HLB wise if you spent a lot and get rm100 cashback each month , I don't think the annual fees is a prob lol. Can get max rm1200 per year cashback right. But problem is I don't spend that much.I'm not as hardcore as you, I will only go there when I need to travel. |

QUOTE(maskedchan @ Jun 28 2015, 07:44 PM) Are you from competitor bank? Chill bro, indeed many mbb2c users are finding alternatives here, and he doesn't sound like a person from other banks. Everyone is free to give suggestions in this forum right.Try to inject negative comment about MBB? Even without 5% cashback for everything, still a lot will keep it to use for dining and collect 5x TP. Of course MBB already forecast what the impact before implement it. Do you think they will simply make decision without having a comprehensive data? |

Most probably maintain the cashback on all spendings on Amex, but cutting down the cashback %? Maybe down to 2-3%?

And today I saja login and check my transactions and realized the CL has increased 5k. |

QUOTE(Devil4life @ Jun 29 2015, 05:33 PM) Did your salary increase a lot since the last time you submit your docs? I got the same msg but until now no increase Increased slightly only. It's the max they can give if they are following BNM rule, which is 2.5-3.5 times of the salary. Anyway it's a gov job, gaji like peanuts only. |

I think they take into consideration I am making full use of the 5% cashback on my mbb2cards. I never pay late, no loans at all. Lol
