I was thinking of using MBB Ikhwan (5% for petrol and groceries on Fri & Sat), and CIMB CB Card for the rest.
Adopting the similar approach previously when AMEX was used for weekends only and OCBC for weekdays.
what do you think?
*
CIMB CR for? If you meant for utilities bills then can forget about it. There's no rebate except for Astro I think.

Actually you can use Maybank Ikhwan (5% for petrol and groceries on Fri & Sat), HLB Wise (10% after swiping 10x with each swipe = RM50), Aeon Watami (3% if you can spend RM3000/quater), and Ambank True (3% for all online transaction). No need to use M2C.

Must study this Ambank True and see whether can use to pay bills or not.  hmm.gif
*
My Amex was always maxed for TM bills only. I have HLB Essential (for all other spendings) & 2 Wise cards (for petrol & groceries/TM & Syabas ). So pretty much covered already. Aeon Watami (scared cannot hit and also hard to monitor, monitoring Wise card (me & wife's) already make me rclxub.gif .

Ambank True sounds good, will get more info on this card. but webpage mention nothing about 3% http://ambank.com.my/eng/cards/true

AmBank True? Are you sure? I read from top to bottom, bottom to top also didn't see anything about the online transactions. Care to enlighten me? I might have missed it. laugh.gif

It was mentioned at True Visa Credit Card
QUOTE
The 3% cash rebate is subject to a capping of RM30 per month for online retail transactions only and not applicable for Cash Advance/ Balance Transfer/ QuickCash.

Scroll all the way to the bottom. Another good thing is the True card does not have admin charges for oveaseas usage. (buy online from oveaseas also counted) rclxms.gif biggrin.gif tongue.gif

I'm more interested in the savings account. Anyway, thanks for the link. smile.gif

The answer to your query is at question 14 of the FAQ. It states out the MCC, utilities, insurance, mobile payments are not included.

Their True saverd account also better than M2Savers. 2.8%. The only downside is max 3x/month withdrawal (includes IBG to their TRUE Transect account/ IBG to another bank/atm withdrawal)

But if you IBG with their True Transect account, there is no RM0.11 charged. biggrin.gif rclxms.gif rclxm9.gif BUt not sure if they charge for IBFT

With proper planning, you can maximise te True Savers Account. icon_rolleyes.gif

I do not know if there is another savers account which can give so high interest which allows you to withdraw.

Other cards might be able to give cashback too, but the appeal of the M2 Amex was that it's very simple. All transactions on weekends. That's it. We just need to find merchants who accept Amex. Sigh. (Damn this is akin to a terrible breakup! biggrin.gif )

Because of no more 5% CB for all transactions on weekend..forced to apply UOB One as a replacement for my usage.. cry.gif
And Amex will be use for only dining..since UOB One dining no CB.. wink.gif
Not very bad news..but more cards in wallet.. doh.gif

For most of the time, I'm using AMEX to pay utility bills. Even help paying other people's bills. And I get cash for this(5% and TP I keep). Then only I spend on other places. Those were the days sweat.gif

So what card are you going to use to replace Amex for paying your utility bills?

But u still get 5 rewards point for your spending which is still not bad right

5x reward points yes. But I forsee myself using Amex much lesser going forward, not many places accept Amex too. There're many more card offering much better perks out there.

10% Petrol, dining & telco bill - Wise (might be changing Wise category from Petrol to Groceries as I will be using lesser Petrol later months)
2% Utilities (auto debit) & 5% Online purchases - CIMB Cashback
5% Petrol & 2% Groceries - Citibank Cashback

1.25% Amex.. Hmm.. maybe can use for Guardian & Watson. But then I can reload my TnG at groceries place and use TnG to pay for it.

agree, 5X is nice, but you cant cash it out immediately/to next bill... the TPs are useless until you reached a certain redemption points.
