Actually reading through the message again, you may be right. Hope your port out is successful this time.

My Journey from U Mobile to Hotlink to CelcomDigi

Saturday, 15-06-2024
- Request free Hotlink prepaid sim online

Thursday, 20-06-2024
- Received the sim card from GDEX
- U Mobile Postpaid -> Hotlink Prepaid
- Replied to Port Out confirmation at 9:41 PM

Friday, 21-06-2024
- Successful port in to Hotlink Prepaid

Saturday, 22-06-2024
- Transferred ownership at Maxis Center
- Requested Port In to CelcomDigi
- Replied to Port Out confirmation at 1:36 PM

Sunday, 23-06-2024
- Port in completed at 9:19 AM

As it involves transferring ownership before adding to the CelcomDigi family plan, I had to go through this journey because I initially requested to port in to Hotlink Prepaid. However, the Maxis Center staff did not allow this, stating that I could only port in to Postpaid for six months before converting to Prepaid.

Additionally, CelcomDigi only support Postpaid-to-Postpaid porting. Since I was on U Mobile Postpaid, I could only port in to CelcomDigi as Postpaid. If I chose Postpaid, the transfer ownership cost would be RM60, whereas Prepaid transfers are free.

Therefore, the best approach was to port in online to Hotlink Prepaid, complete the ownership transfer, and then port in to CelcomDigi family line.

One fun things is during the transfer ownership at Maxis. The staff saw that my prepaid just active 1 day ago. Keep asking how I get the prepaid plan. Whether I just bought this number bla bla bla. I just lazy to entertain and curious what wrong with Maxis now? Is Prepaid plan no longer available?

Is the same maxis center that previously said must port in to postpaid rather than prepaid.

The staff probably seemed like unamused 😐 because he got one less commission due to you 🤣

It is the same Maxis Center. But different person to assist me. But his question for me really weird. Like very curious how I did it to port in Hotlink Prepaid just a day ago.

Prepaid - CSR said MNP was rejected due to Inactive line but MNP request was done on the same day where Data still can be used and app stated last day Active. CSR admitted already inactive 5 to 6 days even before Expiry shown in app, due to technical fault? But I still can use the Data via the line. This also implies that even if I port out 4 days before the expiry, they may still reject the request? CSR teams insisted to top up first and never give an proper answer to my question.

What a sneaky telco. You can try to submit report to MCMC, even better if you include screenshots of the app showing your line is active during the port out request. No choice you have to ensure the line is active and resubmit port out again.

I think from Biru to Kuning is just like port out from Celcom to Digi. The telco merge, but network operation still follow respective celcom and digi.

Last week I have change all my plan to principal line at maxis because I want to port out, at the same time I check with maxis staff is it have any issue if I want to port out. After check, there is no issue and all outstanding balance is clear.. last two day Celcomdigi make the first request, get rejected say I must port out principal and supplementary line. Ok, then I check with maxis, they tell me suppose is no issue, then ask me request again.. today receive same reason. I call to maxis and complain them, why so hard to port out. They make the report and ask me to request again. I’m plan walk in to maxis centre later to check what is the problem.. stupid maxis port in easy, port out so hard, keep give me billion of reason

Let them know you are going to raise a report to MCMC if they disallow your port out.

My is more funny, re-submit 3 time, keeps get rejected with the messege below, problem is I have no more supplementary line, fibre internet also unlink, no more outstanding balance, I also call maxis CS, keep tell me no issue and ask me to re-submit request, on the last time, I’m very hot and call to pump them, and on the same day, all line was port out successful. Sometime I have no idea is it their system problem or they play with me.

RM0 MAXIS has rejected yr request to switch to Celcom due to Principal line has supplementary line(s) that should be ported. Pls check with yr current telco & call +6019-601 1111 to resubmit yr request.
