I hv just posted how to get there a page b4...I hv personally haven't been to Pattaya & Ayuthaya...haha
But to dmanoen saduak, just hire a 1/2 day taxi at THB800 to there & thereafter get him to go to non motorised boat otherwise he will bring you to the motorised boat which will cost in the region of >THB1000! |

if you are looking for floating market, try amphawa. around 60 minutes driving from bkk, closer than damoensaduek, but same direction. at night there're firefly as well. it's famous now. danoen is kinda outdated.

QUOTE(LsChong @ Jan 27 2010, 09:53 AM) well both are thai restaurants, but long table is more modern thai. long table is probably more convenient as its closer to bkk cbd. i went for drinks and some finger foods at long table and from what i had of the food it was good. price is ok. medium to high price. but if you have a budget of THB2000-2500 per person then it should be more than enough to eat there, unless everyone plans to get pissed. then you should head to a cheaper place.Added on January 27, 2010, 9:58 ambut as darknite says. what type of food are you looking for? 1) if you want good sea-food, go to sompong at ram intra. it's a nice thai-seafood restaurant.
2) if you want a must eat food in thailand, try somboon in ratchada. it's famous for it's curry crab. locate at ratchada, although there is another branch in silom, which i think it's kinda tough to get there. One down side, they only accept CASH. 3) if you want a tasty traditional thai food, try lemon grass at sukhumvit soi 26, right beside emporium shopping complex. it serve excellent traditional thai cuisine. 4) if you want a good environment + music + contemporary + tasty food, try The Pool or Yes Indeed! locate at kaset nawamin. both are excellent. 5) if you want good view + romantic + high class restuarant, try Sirroco (The Dome) locate at silom as well (if i'm not mistaken). BTW, all 5 restaurants locate in bangkok. This post has been edited by asamalikum: Jan 27 2010, 04:20 PM |

Hi everyone
Im' traveling to Bangkok this coming CNY with my boyfriend. Stay at Sukhumvit for 7 days. I need some advice on the MUST GO PLACES in bangkok that will not lead too far off from our trail starting point which is Sukhumvit. So far there's too many places i want to visit, but i don't wanna waste too much time on something thats not really worth it. Checked on some internet sites but still i would like some insider reviews that have been to the place Right now the list of places i would like to visit is as per below (if you have any recommendations/suggestions.. do add up to my list 1. Caberat shows (not sure where is the best and near to sukhumvit) 2. Floating market (where is the best? read some reviews Damuen not very good?) 3. Chatuchak weekend market 4. Siam aquarium (issit worth it to visit?) 5. Zoo (issit nice to visit?) 6. Palace 7. 8. 9. 10. Also one thing very important, my bf plan to get on ground tour packages when we arrive in bangkok. i.e. like those half day tour / 1 day tour. If you know any good tour guide services or packages, let me know also Reason why we didn wanna book online is that online will be slightly pricey compare to when you get it from there and also we don't wana get cheated too Thanks! |

I went to the aquarium inside Siam paragon...snapped the photo near the netrance & yeah...atleast i hv been there...well the entrance lah...
Similarly..I visited Hong kong Wax museum (mdm Tousud?)..snapped the photo wth Jackie Chan..& yeah..I have been there too no need to pay...haha.. Will do the same to all the expensive entrance tickets where you can find similar attractions in malaysia or those that u have visited b4 & not worth the money haha This post has been edited by stimix: Jan 27 2010, 05:22 PM |
