no rules for male; however, for females, the basic rules are not to wear anything too expose. nothing too significant.

For me the floating market is a must..Overall bangkok is just another shopping paradise..Temples are not ancient enuf. If u are not into shoppings & eating, but more of watching ppl, culture 7 etc..better go Ayuthaya & Floating market.

Aik u just mentioned the biggest 7 the most authentic wan - Damnoen Saduak earlier...

For me I went there by fagging a normal taxi outside my hotel & barain kaw-kaw till 800bath to there...Thereafter another hard bargaining (Almost walk-out) for the engined boat towards the market (1000bath)...the taxi will also brings you to whatever attraction along the way up to your liking such as Snake farm, crocodile farm, elephant farm & etc...I ended up at Wat Po/ & palace on that day...

4 days & you are concentrating on Patayya I think you hv no time on Floating market-lah.. It will be about 1-1.5hrs to Dmanoen Saduak, another 2-3hrs rounding the market & thereafter ~ 1hr+ bck to bangkok. U will be bck in BKK ~ 2/3pm.

Dirty ah u ..Thai girls show drool.gif shocking.gif ..That's illegal hor. I din try in BKK but tried in Phuket..It's already illegal even I last watched it in 1996!! They will secretly bring you to a secluded slump area..in a slump small teater. lotsa gansters manning outside.. shakehead.gif I think not adviseable just seeing that nude circus & a man & woman making love on stage biggrin.gif Lotsa ladies watch out 1/2 way thruout the show..kenot stand..

I beg to differ. Shopping in Suan Lum is a different experience from Chatujak. At night, it's cooler. It's open every night. The shops are more spaced out. There are less people there so you can enjoy your walk instead of rushing. the food stalls out there got ample sitting space. The ambience is somewhat different. I would go to both. Suan Lum is slightly more expensive than Chatujak but you can bargain.

i like suan lum just to walk around and chill. i dont really shop that much so the prices dont really bother me. i always end up buying my stuff in MBK just for its convenience. i think people just buying a few things should shop in suan lum. but if you plan to restock your whole wardrobe then go to JJ.

4 days is really really rush, i went there by 5 days also think that not enough, should have a few days more to explore around

tiger show price is 700 baht if i'm not mistaken, there is 3 famous show and the tour leader recommend us to watch 6996, a newer version compare to tiger show, too bad followed my parent and cannot follow them to watch sad.gif

Suan Lum will be a perfect place if u dun like shopping at JJ which is too hot & stuffy too. Suam Lum open every nite. Prices there are not that great even though u bargain. More for tourist and prices also tourist price. There is a huge open food court. Got to buy coupon system. There is also a live band.Only sing in Thai. occasionally some English song

Well, JJ only open during weekend and d locals would go as well. Some offer wholesale price. Some offer quite reasonable price and when u ask for discount, the y won't go down much like 50%. JJ would have more choices or things to see.

Hi all.
I am planning to go to Bangkok in July. The main purpose is to go shopping! We four ladies are planning to go to Platinum Mall, Central World Plaza, Pratunam Market and MBK..Basically pratunam area!
Any nice budget hotel to stay around? Budget from RM100 to RM140.
Was planning either
1) Baiyoke Boutique Hotel
2) First House Hotel
3) Grand Watergate Hotel

Which of these is the most strategic??
