Well, its more of a continuity from the last one. But I think the red shirts are starting another 'gathering' again in these couple days.

Rm90 by cab can take you pretty far. Like way way outta BKK even, maybe like 2 hours worth of cab ride. So yeah, I'd suggest finding ways to get there yourself.

Not sure how much the sky restaurant is.

Just say 'meter' when you open the door. If they say no or 'mei ow'(don't want) or something that doesn't sound like 'ok' then just get another cab. Its rare to not be able to find a cab.

Only time you prolly need to quote is if you get a on tuk tuk.

Hi guys, I'll be coming back from Chiang Mai to Penang on the 29th and will be having a 6-7 hours transit at Bangkok airport.
Are there any interesting places to visit near the airport or shall I just shop in the airport?

Dunno wat time is yr flight, if it is evening flight u have to rush cos BKK is very jam from 5pm onwards. Is worst than KL .u need to be 2 hrs before check in time. 1hr may not get u to airport if it is evening flight. Got to plan properly

If u have not been there, is good to see the palace and enjoy it. Wear proper attire. First hotel is conveniently located at near Platinum, Pratunam . I s just within walking distance. Rooms r nothing unique fancy or unique.I will rate 3.5 - 4 star.A lot of M'sian stay there

May I ask whether do I need to get visas to travel in Thailand for about 7days?

EDIT: Got the answer from the web. Don't need to get visa if stay within 30 days.

Thanks.

Thanks...On the floating market, probably u went to the one opposite BKK city & not the original & authentic Danusk Saduak which is in hulu-hulu land about the distance from KL to Melaka! ..really inside Kampungs & lotsa of Mat Salleh...& the waterway was so cramp wth tourist, lotsa old ladies selling coconuts, vege, souvenirs, & food from the boat stalls....very authetic......BUT the motorboat trip is the one killing..so pricy! Should have taken the package tour.

QUOTED FROM STIMIX

What do we buy from the floating market?
*
Nothing to buy at the Floating mkt. Just enjoy the bustling daily biz there.Or perhaps enjoy some food while u r on d boat. Just ask d boatman to stop for you. So enjoy eating on d sampan

As u wish. Check d tour price agent offer or if u find a good cabbie there, ask them how much they will charge u for d return trip.Or u may take a bus there
