hey guys, i'm looking for the cheapest way to get to bangkok.
I'm planning to go around christmas, that's a week from now, more or less.

I've already checked the train and if my infos are correct, it'll set me back by around 300 for a return trip, anyway cheaper?

I seriously have no idea lolz

I was in Ayuthaya BigC, took a bus, 1hour 30min journey ++, ended up in a bus depot somewhere near jatujak, but also dunno exactly where, took a cab to jatujak, then take BTS/Monorail.

Kambing bek... was hell. Took van, cos we dunno which bus to take, from bangkok, to Future Park Rangsit (phahonyotin road). Good thing was, there were two damn hot lenglui sitting next to me, and so sexy too wub.gif

Then from Future Park we took cab to BigC Ayuthaya.

Well, other than train, u can try express buses. I think this option is cheper & faster than the slow & super freezing train.

Hehehe the train is better. I took both modes, train ( 2nd class ) and bus. While the train may not be as clean as second class trains in malaysia, it was still more comfortable than travelling by bus. They provide food & water for you to drink, the journey's faster too as opposed to taking the bus.

It helps if u got the travel book with english-thai-english translator.

and if possible, get the names of places u wan to go, spelled out in THAI. Not all cab drivers know english or in alphabets ABC.

But sometimes, if you're lucky, some of them can even speak mandrin..lol..which i found out once. Thought this girl was native thai, mana tahu she reply back in mandrin.. hehehehe..which my fren knows how to speak la. (coz i mandrin oso tarak paham..worse sweat.gif )

We got one from MPH. A small little booklet with basic phrases in english to Thai (romanized) and in thai spelling.
So in case u dont know how to pronounce, you can just point and ask (like asking for the taxi, the toilet, etc)
It helps too if u snap pics of items u may need to ask and show on yr phone tongue.gif

anyhow, if you got time, can learn up from this site before going to thai (which i am totally blur in learning new languages)
http://www.thai-language.com/default.aspx

Try this too: http://www.thai2english.com/#Overview
