Sure! I'm in my hotel room right now. It's very late and I'm supposed to wake up early tomorrow to go to Chatuchak but I need to work! cry.gif
It's all peaceful now...everything went smoothly except the taxi driver thought I wanted to go to Eastin Hotel when it's actually Citin Pratunam Hotel. laugh.gif But we weren't far away and he's very kind. Laughing all the way like HAR HAR HARR HARRRR!!! Very funny but also very nice haha! Tell you guys more later! Need to go back to work now. Thank goodness for free wifi!!!

btw, is there a daily pass for BTS and the MRT? If yes how much is it?

I can't seem to find info from BTS website. Would you recommend using this or just normal one way fares will suffice. POOR TRAVELLER HERE lol

you should use there IDD rates. i think on your maxis. you dial 100. and a list of services should come up. then press 1 i think. whatever the one with the assistance or help or something. then there should be some sort of roaming assist. hahah. sorry its not detailed. but they give better rates if you dial through that maxis service instead of straight from your phone book.

You can get the Touch-n-Go like card for the BTS. Its Rm16 and you get Rm10 in the card itself. Rm2 goes to the card and another Rm2 goes into err some upfront payment thing.

The card would be valid for as long as you hold it. And you can just top it up at the counters like touch-n-gos.

Normally Tiger show is offered as a sideline income to the Tourist guide. He will quietly ask u whether are u interested in Tiger show...and if u said yes, they will arranged the time & bring u to a secluded makeshift theater.

BTW, it's already illegal in Thailand..even the last I tried in Phuket way back in 1996, the guy secretly brought us to that makeshift theater saying it's illegal but assured us it's safe bcos the theater opened by Head of the Police station or something... shocking.gif biggrin.gif ...BTW, lotsa ladies left the theater 1/2 way thru the show....Beh Tahan... biggrin.gif especially the part pulling out the needle/shaving blade from... drool.gif

Hi All,

Really sorry if my questions have repeated in somewhere.

1. Can anyone recommend me which area hotel are better?
a. Sukhumvit
b. Pratunam
c. Silom
d. Siam
e. Khao San
f. Petchburi

2. Any recommended hotel? Budget should be RM100+. Currently i am searching about "Samran Place" near Petchburi. Anyone heard about it?

3. Anyone here going Bangkok end of March? Maybe can join together to visit some place which might require a group (not sure about this) ????

Guys/Gals, really sorry if i repeating the Question but the thread are too long. TS, can u summarize some info at main page for easy access?

1. Can anyone recommend me which area hotel are better?
a. Sukhumvit --> Angmo backpacker's place, has some 2-3 star hotel
b. Pratunam
c. Silom --> near China town, has 2-3 star hotels
d. Siam
e. Khao San --> Backpackers area, cheap but lower quality
f. Petchburi --> where all those 3-5 stars hotel are, like our bukit bintang

I'll recommend you Suk11 (guest house) at Sukhumvit 11 road, cheap and nice environment.
rate is around 600 baht for double room / day
