QUOTE(Human Nature @ Jun 24 2015, 05:52 PM) i went from 27th nov last year and the colors at kyoto are marvelous. the best was at kinkakuji Yeah, end November should be better timing, have chance for snowfall at Takayama too. Too bad I can't make it in end of the month unless I stop working or change career. ☺

Hope the apartment is OK.
Quite unsure when doing the reservation via airbnb, however since the rate in kyoto is super peak, no choice lo..
I rather save the budget for food and onsen ryokan. hehe

I rather save the budget for food and onsen ryokan. hehe Me too, was reluctant to book at first but my friend gave positive review of her booking through Airbnb. The hotel rate in November is super high, I checked almost everyday through Booking for triple room, mostly RM3-4K for 3 nights. Those cheap one has bad review or super tiny room. I am very particular on the cleanliness of the hotel. Don't worry, we will keep the apartment clean. You are lucky that the day before your check in is vacant and the cleaner has sufficient time to do the cleaning. This post has been edited by jefferenelee: Jun 24 2015, 08:25 PM

Booking went smoothly. Can't wait to go there! This post has been edited by limchee: Jun 25 2015, 09:31 AM

It's actually low season in Japan at that time so it was not that pack with tourist. I didnt have to do any bus reservation at all too. Shimizu Inn is nice. It's not in the town centre so you won't have tourist walking around outside. I think around 10minutes walk from town centre but it's really not an issue. I will be staying here again on my next year visit Rate is around 9200yen per person and includes dinner + breakfast.
