Make sure you do homework first. The rulez of onsen.
Very serious if you break it. Very pantang

Dear RC Sifu, besides no tattoo allowed, need to bare all and split gender usage. Any other rules I need to know of?

I also know some Ryokan only allows their own guest to use facilities but there is some that allows during daytime for outsiders to use. I'm aiming for those that allow outsiders or another option is to go public bathhouse.

ADDED : ok, google it just now. Saw some link for it. Thanks and will take note of it.

How much was your flight ticket? Air asia I presume?

It's my first time to Japan so most likely will be doing touristy stuff. Have you start booking your accommodation?

Btw, I might be going Onsen. I've searched that Kobe's Arima Onsen is quite popular in kansai area. If I don't plan to stay overnight (as it seems quite exp), is it sufficient for me to cover Kobe or better 2 days to spend there?

Main purpose in Kobe is try kobe beef, Chinatown walk walk, earthquake museum, mount rokko. If got time will slot in onsen.

I've booked all my hotel accommodations d smile.gif
Arima onsen is actually near to Mount Rokko so yeah, you can slot in some onsen wink.gif

Good luck in arranging your trip!

I will be traveling to Osaka probably next year. As I know there are different types of train railway. One is more like our LRT/Monorail and the other is like our KTM right? Do they have like a card like Touch n' Go for both railways?

haha....i love onsen! imagine sitting in a hot outdoor rotenburo naked while watching snow, mountains, feeling the cold air on your skin..... cool2.gif

I have a day in Kyoto only, planning to go Kiyomizu-dera temple, Nishiki Market, etc...Nara maybe on my next next year trip tongue.gif

and yes, planning to ski too. But if in the end we don't ski, Nozawa onsen is still nice to walk around bcos it's a village with many things to see and eat. Also, alot of onsen! tongue.gif

This maybe subject to "do homework...!!!", but I'm trying my luck.

Ok I'm planning to visit Japan this August, 8 days trip with best tix price around 9++ Haneda Airport, others were pricey. The initial plan:

1. Hiking at Kamikochi
2. Take train up to Aomori and stop at few towns, yet to decide. Maybe 2 or 3 town before heading down to Tokyo

So was thinking if u guys got any idea to share during the hot month of August in Japan.

Appreciate the help.

Thanks

JS
