This few weeks just keep reading all the versions of travel to japan by RC. really enjoyed reading all the thread n posts. biggrin.gif it gives u different information that cant be found via googling only.

Just bought one way tix for 3 pax ,

KL > Osaka, arrive morning (7th Jan @RM399 each)

Tokyo > KL, depart in the morning (1st Feb @RM412 each, since buying 1 way from JP, it calculate its own forex, supposed to be RM369/399 if buying return tix)

tongue.gif tongue.gif i know rite damn long. 24N 25D

So far have been reading only, havent plan out my itinerary but mostly will cover Osaka/kyoto/tokyo (taking it slow n savoring every bit,and neighboring towns. hence the flight route.)

Time for homework bruce.gif just worried now bout snow canceling flights/train in and out. hopefully not, since its city area. Also reason putting tokyo at last destination is we're probably buying alot stuff from tokyo so, dont wanna be carrying them around while traveling.

Plan to stay at Shirakawa-go village for 2-3 nights (7000yen ~10000yen) which is not bad. really love the landscape there, looks good to chill and relax.

So far found https://www.japaneseguesthouses.com to book for it and its request type of booking.

RC or anyone ever stay there b4? whether to overnight or daytrip to this village.

Btw traveling in January. ''Snow Warning: There is a lot of snow in Shirakawa-go in January and February so please bring a pair of boots.'' ohmy.gif

if i am not wrong, you can only stay at the minshuku for max 1 night per minshuku, price around 10k per person with dinner and breakfast provided.

i will be going there this Oct and booked Hisamatsu via Japanese Guest Houses. Booking went smoothly. Can't wait to go there!
*
I hope thats yen. If max 1 night, then is it possible to switch in between accommodations during that 2-3 nights?

haha....itu blog sudah lama ada loh...
I went on 8th Jan week. It's actually low season in Japan at that time so it was not that pack with tourist. I didnt have to do any bus reservation at all too. Shimizu Inn is nice. It's not in the town centre so you won't have tourist walking around outside. I think around 10minutes walk from town centre but it's really not an issue. I will be staying here again on my next year visit wink.gif

Rate is around 9200yen per person and includes dinner + breakfast.

thanks for the advise, will scavenge your blog for some tips tongue.gif , notice your stay was 1 night only?

Hi all, i am planning for a 10 days trip to Japan (First timer)

Knowing that most of you have been to Japan before, i would appreciate it if you could give me some opinion on my itinerary.

I plan to land in Osaka and fly out from Tokyo, do you think it's a good idea?
My trip will basically be like this: Osaka -> Kyoto -> Tokyo. In between i might add in Nara or Nayoga perhaps.

But what i'm trying to ask is, if the whole idea of landing in Osaka and fly out from Tokyo is a wise one? Or do you think i should land and fly out from the same airport?

Please advise.
And i would appreciate it if you could suggest some of the itinerary that would be practical for my trip. Thanks in advance!

im also flying in Osaka n fly out Tokyo, compared tix n not much difference, as it covers more ground n more convenient. Like they said, 10D might be packed for osaka n kyoto (depending whats ur interest), adding tokyo will probably kill ur trip tongue.gif

im already planning for 12 days at osaka + kyoto + nearby areas ,, then slowly make my way to tokyo.

still cant find a reason why they canceled KUL > NRT route, looks popular. Unless they cut cost. At least it just screwed up my 1 way ticket only. If they announce got flight direct from Hokkaido to KL then i'll be quite happy . biggrin.gif

I prefer they cancel or re-time kl haneda route. The timing is a waste of 1 leave/off day.

I hope they faster announce the Hokkaido flight. Currently I can't make any plans for Hokkaido cos cannot book budget flight from Tokyo to sapporro.

Early to mid december , Tokyo still no yet snowing.
Avg around 10 celcius. Wind will very chill. Other than wind just thinking you at Genting Night.

Just get your self heattech clother at uniqlo , long john or a normal sweather will do.
*
if snowing in January, still able to go disneylands / USJ / theme park based?

Also, like going to Nara to see deers, would they still come out like normal?
