Hi, I'm thinking of upgrading from my 5-year-old Creative T40 for my Mac. Any recommendations would be appreciated. What I'm looking for:

- Must have bluetooth
- 2.0, no space for sub and not a big fan of bass, I got my T40's bass turned to around 40%
- No auto-off for energy saving like the T40. The 5-second wait for it to wake is very annoying to me
- Mostly listen to podcasts or lectures (talking). Occasional netflix. Don't listen to music.
*
How about Creative T60?
Has Bluetooth
2.0
No mention of auto-off feature
Has Clear Dialog button if you want clearer speech, good for podcast and lectures.
Also within your budget

Wow, this seems to be what I'm looking for! In my search I had also came across Edifier R1855BT, how do you think it compares? Even though the Edifier is RM600+, I've seen it go for <RM450 on sale, well within budget.

But I'm pretty much sold on the T60, it's even cheaper than my old T40-II. Thanks!

If you're not a big fan of bass, I think u might not like Edifier's house sound. They're generally warm with boomy bass. Good for music but not so much for dialogues.

I was gonna suggest Presonus Eris E3.5 but I guess T60 would suit you more icon_rolleyes.gif

Definitely not a big fan of bass. I have a 2.1 soundbar for my TV, which is okay because I watch it (and hear it) from at least 8ft away. When I walk nearer to it I feel my heart thumping out of my chest. Guess my heart has a low bass tolerance, if that's a thing.

This one seems especially good for music? Might know someone I could recommend this to, who listens mostly to music and would appreciate the clarity and ability to hear the different kinds of instruments.

Thanks sifus, for such high quality and precise recommendations and help!

Hi,

Anyone tried Nobsound speakers before? Looking to buy a nearfield speakers and stumbled upon this Nobsound NS1800

Found these speakers from shopee to replace my current pc speakers. Wanted to try to audition them , however the guy selling stop allow customers to test due to covid dry.gif

Would these be better than like a Edifier R1700BT speakers? I already have an amplifier(Aiyima A03) and existing passive edifier sub.

It's subjective to say studio mons are good for music or not. I personally like the raw untouched sound so therefore I like it for how true it is but it can be bland and not interesting for some others.

But even if you eventually got space and upgrade with a nice subwoofer, it'll still complement the entire system without compromising on overpowered bass.
I find that many ppl think the subwoofer is not important. But having a proper match subwoofer to your system can sound extra amazing. It's like adding salt to your food. You don't need it. But you can improve it with a hint of it. laugh.gif

Oh, the Eris Sub8 is much more expensive than the 3.5. I'm with you on the salt analogy, when my Sony soundbar's subwoofer connection drops (it's wireless and erratic), everything sounds thin and low quality. I'm a weird creature who doesn't listen to music so I have no opinions on the raw untouched sound laugh.gif

Are built-in woofers not able to compensate for the lack of a subwoofer, even the high-end ones? I only know subs are always large, and bass from speakers always sound nothing like the real thing.

It doesn't have to be music to enjoy sound. Even movies or good netflix shows helps when nowadays lotsa good shows with good mix.
Studio mons are mostly for people to craft sound be it for music or videos. It's like a blank white canvas. Clean and plain. It can be colorful or dull depending on what you put in.

Built-in subs are only great up to a certain extend. If your room fits it then it fits. You're mostly locked to what the manufacture tuned it for you.
But not all room reflects sound the same, that's where a separate sub actually has the flexibility to tune to fit slightly. (in fact the full range monitors generally need to tune a little depending on the room in "studio environment")

All in all, it really depends if you like a "ready to use" setup or a "customized" setup notworthy.gif

Diamond 12.0 (4 inch bass driver) vs diamond 12.1 (5 inch bass driver)
Do you think it will make a big difference in bass? For nearfield listening/desktop
And both 12.1 and S1000DB are huge and tall sweat.gif  sweat.gif dunno if got enough space for table
*
It does, I use before for desktop 4" and then 5", the sub-bass sounds more deep with 5". Or S350 since it is 2.1. If you don't priority much for bass, Diamond 12.0 is what I would pick from the list.

Recently quit all my headphones and want to try out proper speakers.

What speakers can recommend for a desktop computer set up. Budget can up to rm2k at max. 2.0 is ok.No need sub.

Mainly for music. I want sound that sounds full.. Doesn't sounds "Noisy". Meaning im able to hear the music well even when at "low to mid volume" and able to still hear conversation in the room. No need heavy bass. Although I have an office room, but im still worry it might be heard in other bedroom.

Not sure if the criteria works only for bigger size speaker or smaller speaker can do the job as well.

Im looking at Audioengine , a2+, hd 3, hd4, and even extend my budget for Ruark MR1 Mk2 if it is worth it.

Feel free to recommend any others.

Hey guys, im looking to get some decent computer speakers. Been using my eacan e-191m for almost 8 years and its probably time to change.

Been researching 2.1 speakers and honestly the more I researched, the more I cant decide.

So far what I'm keen on looking:-
1. LG Z623/Z625
2. LG Z407
3. LG G560 (Impossible to find, though its on top 2021/2022 list)
4. Harman Kardon Soundsticks III
5. Klipsch ProMedia 2.1 THX

If anyone owned any of these, mind sharing your thoughts or comments? Thank you!
