Okie la. Fair enough lo.

Maybe I think I will stick to my current setup then.
The possible option is the audioengine A2+ which is very small in size. But I saw in YouTube comments that it’s only good for desktop listening.

my 12 year old altec lansing VS4121 finally died, the volume became softer and softer over the past 2 years

wondering if there are any suitable replacement 2.1 systems to look into under 300-500? or would it be better to switch to 2.0 bookshelf speakers?
i mainly use it with desktop PC, for watching dramas, youtube and occasional movies, and some spotify as well. Would prefer clean mids and highs rather than too bass heavy/muddied speaker systems. TQ

edifier m1360
sonic gear evo 5 pro
logitech z213
or should i get another tribit xsoundgo for tws pairing ( i have 1 with me)?

Is vinnfier or sonic gear ok? If got bluetooth then its the best

would like to hear recommendation from you guys, budget 150ish is the best thanks!

For your budget of RM150 I can't think of anything better than getting another tribit xsound go for tws pairing. Whiletws Stereo pairing does drop audio quality, I think it's a small sacrifice to pay for a much fuller sound.

Edifier m1360 is a classic speaker with no frills and raw amplification which means very transparent sound. Pretty much the basic of basic and can't go wrong. No bluetooth since it's a blast from the past.

You can go with M1360 (if they still sell it) and pair it with a bluetooth adapter from UGREEN 40759 for a complete no compromise audio experience.

The R1280DBs is a quality speaker for its range.
I'm not sure how big is your TV room but Edifier R1855DB is plenty good for a small soho living room without sounding like small speakers trying to play loud. The optional sub out is nice to have in case you wanna add a sub in the future.

wow it's been a while since last saw your post! I've been away ages blink.gif sweat.gif
thanks for the recommendations bro, i saw a review comparison sound seems the mids on the R1855DB is much better clarity vs the R1280DBS but the R1280DBS has really bright sounding in the highs. Seems the R1855DB is good for vocal and some instruments too

But based on prices, hmm I may grab the R1280DBS for now
I do have a Wharfedale forgot was 8" or 10" SUB. Seldom turn on as I stay in apartment tongue.gif
TV room is around 15ft by 12ft I guess roughly there. I don't need to blast just need to play some decent sound and clarity from the movies replacing my M3300 sub and M1350 was it? forgot the model. it's been too long and needing one Bluetooth to connect phone time to time smile.gif

Thanks for the advice flex.gif flex.gif thumbup.gif

Haha yeah. Been working and got exposed to more pro livesound and barely got any chance to touch home audio.

There's a reason why I recommend the R1855DB for tv use more which is the mids clarity as tv/movies are 95% mids after all. flex.gif
R1280DBS may be okay for background music but for main vocals, it can struggle a bit with low volume making it sound thin due to bright highs.
Thankfully Edifier still provides tone controls for you to adjust to your preference.

I am looking to replace my 13 year old altec lansing 321 computer speakers, which i think have very good sound quality. Looking for another 2.1 setup if possible but might consider 2.0 if it is good enough. I tried the Audioengine A2+ but it feels a bit lacking compared the altec lansing tbh, or maybe i dont know how to appreciate good quality speakers. I mostly game > movie > music on my current altec lansing, are there any other speakers that are similar or close?

if footprint/budget is not a problem - edifier s350db/351db/360db should be an upgrade over your altec lansing 321.
A2+ is limited by its size thus their frequency range also limited..

edifier produce quality 2 channels also. Have a look to select between the model you want.. based on ur requirement.. 2.1 is better than 2 channel as your music is the least priority

Since you already have the bluetooth receiver, try it first.

Can work. Just need to bear in mind that the Bluetooth receiver needs to be plugged in, or if battery type will need to recharged regularly. Also, now the DAC part will be done by the Bluetooth receiver instead of the speaker, so you may or may not notice a difference in sound quality.
