The extra installation work need extra charge from the std installation.I go through 2 installation which is not std. Conseal and more than 10ft piping. As I require the outdoor unit to be place ontop the roof water tank area. No problem for the installer and no complain. Is it you're not agree with the price ? |

QUOTE(westlife @ May 9 2017, 02:22 AM) In boleh land. It is almost impossible to reach 22 degree temperature unless it is during super late midnight time. agree..i always set the temp between 26-27..for my case i used the aircond daily around 6pm until 7.00am the next day..using hitachi inverter 1hp..1st bill around 80ringgit The good temperature to set is 25 or above. Because it is the temperature that typical Aircon can reach, but it is provided that ur Aircon power matches the room size. If ir does not, no way the temperature set can be reached, then no way to save energy also. For typical Aircon, if one needs to set temperature lower than 25 in order to feel the coldness, it should mean that the Aircon is under powered. |

I Don't read all the thread post but i have a question. How to reduce your electric bill but at the same time you frequently on your aircond. I just install 1HP aircond since January 2017 at my bedroom. At February,March i only pay RM30++ because i only set the temperate between 24-27 degree celcius. But when April's electric bill come, i shocked a lil bit because the bill shows RM90++ since i did'nt change the temperature. Fyi i only on my aircond at night only. So how to fix ?

How much was the electric bill before February? I think sometimes TNB uses "anggaran" based on previous readings so the bill is not so accurate. But after that they will adjust again for new usage (your new aircon) based on actual reading. So the April bill may cover what was under charged by TNB in Feb and March. |

Normal frequency should be around once per year only. its a housing area where its away from any big main roads and there's not that many cars that passes by. Only one unit out of 5 others in my house needs servicing that frequently and I'm using an inverter unit. Is your area very dusty? after 5 months, the room will no longer be cold despite it being on low temp and full blast Paying for cleaning service that frequently is rather expensive so Im still trying to find out the cause of it and I am contemplating buying a new non inverter unit all together. serving that unit 3-4 times a year for 2 years is enough to buy a new unit d for 1 HP |

Like every two weeks. |

It has been like this for more than year and I service my aircon every 4-5 months when i can't stand it anymore cuz its really really hot. It will be cold for a month or so after cleaning with only low speed required. after a month i'll have to turn up the fan speed gradually . you recon that the unit is faulty? should i just go ahead and buy a new one. |

When the contractor came for servicing, did they mention about gas leak? Do they need to top up the gas for you every time they do servicing?and yes I do clean the indoor filter regularly 3-4 weeks once but it doesn't solve my problem. Is your drain pipe correct installed? Should be slightly slanted to drain the condensate to outdoor. Buying a new one seemed like the last resort. I would recommend you to troubleshoot your current unit first. |

Do they need to top up the gas for you every time they do servicing? I had 2 different contractors to do the cleaning for me for 2 years and all said that there's nothing wrong with the unit and no need to top up the gas. They just mentioned that its dirty and its normal to clean every 3-4 months Is your drain pipe correct installed? Should be slightly slanted to drain the condensate to outdoor. QUOTE(leekangtao @ May 17 2017, 09:00 AM) people buy r410 or r32 to avoid r22 gas coz 2030 no more r22 gas. So I just buy the cheap r22 and expect it to last before 2030. Why related the gas with the aircon lifespan?Aircon don't require to pump gas in every service or every yrs. R22 gas will be phase out cause depleted the ozone. Your responsible to takecare the enviroment. It is volunteer you want to do it or not. Even it replace by R410, it is not totally gone for the R22 gas. It will cost higher since in the market getting less. Till the manufacturing totally no more produce r22 type aircon. I knew this phase out since 16yrs ago. And my 9yrs+ aircon is using R410. Never top up or low gas pressure since install time. If tomorrow they told me no more r410 gas, it doesn't matter to me. |
