Noob question here, is it practical/common practice for an AC unit in the living room (downstairs) of an intermediate terrace house but with the outdoor/compressor unit placed at the AC ledge or balcony on the first floor?

As long as it between the spec, not a problem.

Each brand and HP aircon have the compressor pumping alleviation max spec. The spec will tell you how height the outdoor can install compare the indoor.

And the max distance between the 2.

Hey guys, wta that is daikin inverter good? currently eyeing on the 1.5hp inverter...
Pls share some review. Don't wish to go for the wrong brand...

Actually I plan to go for 2.0, but they said Daikin is good in cooling so don't need to take the 2.0hp. Since my lobby also not that big.

no worry, u won't be wrong with Daikin.
1.5 or 2.0, is really depending on how huge the area the AC needs to cover.. well u may say 1.0 also good cooling effect, but not suitable for large area?!

inverter will be more expensive than non inverter
if you still consider inverter, I will recommend the Daikin to you, currently using it
and the electric bill maintain below rm200

Installation with conceal piping only. My aircon cost me average 1.5k each. I thought installation only cost max 350. I was shocked when I got the quote.
