How did you all spoilt your ac? I have like hitachi non inverter then to Samsung triangle inverter and now to LG premium inverter. Everytime I upgrade is because the power saving is much better on the newer model. Never once spoilt my ac.
*
Compressor kaput on the Midea inverter.. causing trip whenever it is on. My old pre-OYL Daikin inverter kaput cause the inverter PCB board fried, aircon guy said very expensive to get the board (not sure true or not).

I never bothered about power savings due to usage pattern.

Haier standard 1hp..more than 9 years old.. capacitor kaput.. and recently the blower roller broke..need replacement.

My own experience, inverter has failed, and standard aircon have not failed.

I have one in my small room, 1HP.

So far so good, the only complain I have is the compressor is a bit noise compare to my Panasonic, it has that metal bearing vibration noise, and Hisense told me it's normal.
I’m experiencing the same issue—a noisy bearing sound from the outdoor unit of my 1HP Hisense TUGS. I bought three units, and all of them have the same noise. Despite that, they perform flawlessly and cool better than my Gree Lomo-N. Maybe it's just because the Hisense units are still new? Haha!

I was initially leaning towards Gree because of my positive experience with their non-inverter units. I’ve had three Gree Lomo-N 1HP units running daily for 12 hours each, and they’ve worked perfectly for five years with only semiannual servicing.

It’s disappointing, though, that Gree Malaysia doesn’t offer any 5-star R32 inverter units.

i was unfortunate to have a lemon/defective Midea inverter 1.5hp MSXE-13CRDN8.
i installed 2units of the same model together. 1 was functioning well till today

it was running fine for 2yr+ , bought in late 2021 ..after bought 2.5yrs, in wasnt cold
Asked 1st service guy to come..and he just topped up the gas (dumb) ,
and after 1month it was hot again,. so there was some kind of minor/small leaked somehow
asked another diff guy to check thoroughly, disassembled everything, did soaked test etc..refilled and was cold only for 1month

after that spending of aorund rm550, i gave up and changed to hisense inverter

One thing good about Hisense is the 3 years general warranty vs 2 years for Midea..

Im considering TCL FreshIn as well which is a more premium model. TCL also offers 3 years general warranty but an even longer 10 years compressor warranty.

i only care about silence

i am hoping for airstill mode + silent mode.

i got scammed by samsung windfree. says windfree but cant run silent mode. normal mode super loud. so whats the use of windfree?

whats worse is, it makes all sorts of other sounds

AVOID SAMSUNG + KOREAN PRODUCTS FOR LIFE

I saw the TCL FreshIN model as well, but the price jump from the Hisense TUGS is just too high for me. I got my 1HP TUGS for RM958, whereas the cheapest TCL FreshIN is RM1.8K—enough to buy two 1HP TUGS! laugh.gif

No, it's not a high-pitched sound. It's just that you’re definitely aware of it when the room is quiet.

The outdoor unit is installed just outside each room, and I can hear it when the room is quiet, such as when I'm about to sleep. However, it's not noticeable while watching TV.

It's not loud enough to be annoying, but you can definitely hear it. In contrast, I haven't experienced this issue with GREE, York, or Toshiba air conditioners.

Interestingly, my 15-year-old Toshiba unit is still running smoothly with no noise at all.

Not answering if Daikin is the choice selection butbi was advised by the aircond shop no point to get inverter aircond for living room in a double storey house as it is open space and wont reap the full benefits of inverter aircond.

There were other comments from forum members here on thos topic, you can look back earlier posts a couple of pages back .

You can use an inverter air conditioner in your living room, but you need to use curtains to help contain the cool air and prevent it from spreading to other areas. I did this with my York inverter, and it has made a noticeable difference! I placed the curtain to block the pathway to the kitchen and the stairs, which helped keep the living room cool and energy-efficient.
