Hey guys, can you use Daikin, York and Acson remote differently with the same design?

Like York on Daikin.
Then Acson on Daikin.

I told my principal but she won't trust me.
I tried to use York on Daikin but got beep then principal gave warning said different one.
*
i use phone app (IR) York and Daikin work with same 'remote'.
not sure about acson, doesnt have acson ac to test.

Anyone using Daikin FTKU28A?

I not sure did my family mispressed the remote or what.
But the remote feels like running a fan.

I installed the air cond on May, tested it was really cold.
But when I came back and humid, the air cond was hot and humid....

Did the installer screwed up by not filling it with gas or was there a gas leak or something....? Seems like getting warm air....
*
this is with wifi version right?
if u link with the daikin app u can see if any error inside the app.

my hometown use non-inverter version, after install about 3-4 days, it not cold. check with app, refrigerant gas not enough.
call back the installer, and they fixed it and recharge gas. leak at compressor valve.

Wahh so canggil one ah the app.
I tried to register an account but their system is retarded don't let me key in my registration code.
*
of course lah... hahaha.. btw, selected version only lah.. (and maybe 2 years only, pro version. iinm lah..)
urs FTKU should be in deluxe version, should have the diagnostic, coz mine non-inverter also got error checking.

anyway, i have no problem registering the app. u need the QR code behind ac cover or at the warranty card for linking app and ac.

Bought 1hp Panasonic inverter CS-XPU_WKH-1  on year  2020. Totally shit. Not cool from the day 1. How big brand produce shit aircon? Bought Midea 1hp inverter for another room last 2 months. Midea produce a cooling as an aircond while Panasonic act just like a fan.

Try to avoid Panasonic brand for airconditioner.
*
If not cool from day 1, must be something wrong.. u should contact back installer and ask them to troubleshoot 1st.

Maybe installer installed 'wrong' or u got lemon unit.. this can claim back from seller/Panasonic.

Not ranting here after 2years..

Hi, in general, how much energy savings would I expect from a inverter air conditioner vs a non invertor? Maybe 20-30%?
*
Inverter midea msmb 1hp (small room, 22c)
Inverter daikin ftku 1hp (masterbed, 20c)
10.30pm - 06.00am. (Sunday - Friday)

Electric cost increase around rm30-40.

Don’t install daikin / Pana, both are made in Malaysia even worst than the Acson aircon.
If wanna get cold and quiet on outdoor unit, go for Mitsubishi electric inverter instead or Ascon.

Outdoor at nighttime reduce to 24 DB only.

wow .. u really despised daikin and pana, and praise mitsu ac..

Have you seen before, the cover block almost half of aluminium fins? Low intake air, means that not good for hot weather or indoor temperatures.
The common design was 20% of plastic cover from fan motor only.
*
which model is this?

mine midea inverter is full lenght coils/blower. no problem what so ever.

I see... they move the circuit board to front part for easier maintenance.
it just cover the 1/4 of front part, shouldn't be a problem as the air intake mostly from top side.
by the design seems they maximize air volume by bigger intake and blower fan.

Already seen people complaining this same thing at Mitsubishi Electric Malaysia Facebook previously, now they have removed those negative comments.

Sorry to say your model is already legacy outdated, thus you don't have this hard-coded feature. You may come Malaysia to purchase Mitsubishi Mr. Slim series for "tech refresh" for keeping up with real world experience, hahaha
*
I think he diehard until read also cannot understand..
Btw, jio solution might be the best to stop it form 'auto up'
Maybe u can just unplug the louvre motor cable.

Any expert here can tell anything wrong with the wiring?

The a/c technician came to clean my a/c today and said my wiring is messed up.

But the original installer said there was nothing wrong.

I'm not sure who to trust anymore.
*
did he explained whats the messed up?
if he does not explain, maybe he's not well experience enough. whistling.gif

I'm also considerring Midea for the price. Any pros and cons?
*
I think one of the cheapest brand in market and lots of stock.

Maybe supplies or shop also get more sales than branded (expensive) one ..

Nowadays people will get cheaper things if it does the job..
If broken, not so loss and get one..

Avoid Korean AC. Spare parts headache.

Panasonic is godlike for power saving. Not cold. Yours are inverters? If the Panasonic works then just use first, get a good service guy to check and service. I usually use Acson service these days.
How old is your Midea? Why didn’t try call Midea hotline?

But your hisense damn cheap. Good buy.
*
5 years.
Didn't bother to call.. as out of warranty already.
And replacement board sure expensive.. might as well get new cheap ac.

Its either Hisense or tcl or aux the cheapest.. just trying this Hisense since got it the cheapest.

Not necessarily expensive. My Midea fridge pcb RM79 bucks only.

Aux has longer warranty for unit, pcb and compressor. I would choose it over others if you want inverter.
*
Try find AC inverter board, especially the outdoor board..
that's expensive.. i can't find cheaper outdoor inverter board..

🤷🏻
