At the moment, Celcom's 3G is much more stable compared to their 4G.
Can't agree more, just go for the network that serves you best for the areas you frequently visit or stay.

Maxis. But they are offering limited Data, UNLIMITED SMS and CALLS..

Who on earth needs unlimited SMS and CALLS these days?

Just so difficult for me to justify to support them.

Yeah, feels like I've made a mistake changing over from Umobile to Celcom. I've got the same issue that others have reported, here I thought it was my phone that was acting up.

- Indoor reception is seriously hit or miss. My office block gets only 1 bar of E, occasionally no service altogether
- I notice that on H or H+ I sometimes get full bar, but ZERO data flow. I have to turn to airplane mode and back, then it may get data running again
- Reception is weird. One day, at the same place I can get 4G, then the next day no service
- If I get 1 bar on 4G, it means no data, no SMS, no calls, nothing. I have to change my phone setting to GSM only, then it drops to E, then my sms, calls etc. only starts rushing in. Have been swapping between GSM only and LTE/GSM manually on my phone every day now just to get my data and stuff in.
- Outdoor reception is okay though. I use spotify and can get music all the way from home to work, then the moment I enter my office parking it dies immediately, lol.

Mind you, I'm not in some kampung somewhere, my office is in DOWNTOWN KL. Just about 1 km away from the big Usain Bolt "This Is Celcom Territory" sign, lol. Celcom, your territory has full of holes tongue.gif

I'll give it a couple of weeks to see if my situation improves, otherwise back to U mobile I go. sad.gif

It really depend on area - My frequent area is - Setapak, Mid Valley, Northen PJ, 1U, KLCC, KL Pavilion. Compare to my previous Maxis line, Celcom have much stable line - I mean stable, in term of signal bar and speed.

Setapak - My house is Maxis line deadzone, H+ with no connection, Celcom running fastest among the place I went.

My office at Mid Valley, 22nd floor, Maxis is running less than 2Mbps while Celcom running 3Mbps and above. But call wise, Maxis giving more stable connection (less noise, clearer voice) compare to Celcom.

KLCC - especially inside Parkson, that area is dead zone of both lines, only DiGi survived with 1 to 2 bars. Other place still acceptable, but personally feel that Celcom giving better data speed, compare to Maxis - although the huge Maxis tower is just beside KLCC...

Pavilion KL - deadzone for Maxis, especially inside Parkson Pavillion, reported to Maxis several times with different report no., the last feedback from their L2 technical team is, Pavilion management is rejecting their request to install more signal booster device in the building, so they had no way to improve or resolve my issue.

Other place - Georgetown and JPO - proven Celcom is much stable compare to DiGi and Maxis.

PLUS Highway - KL towards to Seremban is Maxis Territory, U Mobile is champion in certain near town area, Celcom giving slow but stable line for both data and call.

Above is my opinion based on my experience. Cheers!

If your monthly usage for calls and sms more than 50 mins and 50 sms, perhaps Maxis offer is suitable for you. But any TnC? like only valid for 6 months?

If in terms of LTE signal, i think maxis is better than celcom.

My celcom always locked at 3G or below only. Personally felt that LTE is useless due to limited coverage.

Since yesterday, my 3G in Kepala Batas is out though the 3G logo is there. All Datas is just being dead.

Called up the Customer Service, their response is suspecting my device is the problem despite I repeatedly told her not only my iPad but my friend's too who just ported for the RM38 offer who are using Samsung, MI, etc.
A total blackout for data but phone call is ok.

They said will check and resolve it in 7 days ... 😰😰😰

Standard celcom CS respond. Whatever complain or request need 7 days or most probably more to solve.
