I'm getting 10k ms constant but it takes more than a minute for my messages to go through, or receive. Waited for 40 seconds for the mail box to load and gave up, couldnt quit the normal way so alt f4ed :/ Anyway, browsing through the main WoW web and forums are damn smooth, it was taking ages to load before this new problem arose.

you guys don't even have to launch streamyx to test.. just do a simple ping to www.yahoo.com
if you get 200-300ms.. it means it's *probably* been fixed. it's a pretty okay indicator I would say..

At the moment you should all be getting close to 3000ms to good ol' yahoo.com

edit : i'm doing this to test general streamyx internet connectivity.. not just to wow.. so you guys don't have to load up wow, select char, go in, see latency.. so long.. just open up dos prompt and ping...

crapz... i was hoping for the weekend to come and get my mount.. alrady half way through lvl 39 and now..... it lags like hell this sucks !

My latency in game is only 2753ms. It may not seem to be too bad but its totally unplayable. The chat takes 25 mins to come out last night. Even the spells never seems to go off after 30 mins...still shows as casting. And have to Alt+F4 to quit the program.

ya it's not bad at this moment of time it's actually great... cos people can reach 10 to 20k ping. just hope the line will be fix sooooooonnnnn coz cant tahan too long with out fast internet connection. it's like using 56k only... haih.. like tis only can play local online game... R.O oh noooo.

ah, just got home from work, try to login......success.....go to char, its takes 5 seconds for my guild tabard to load on my char select screen...nvm.....i press enter go in......wait.......took about 2-3mins to reach into game.....woot. in game, 7991ms...nice, move around, typed something, no msg, i know i am lagging, wait.....wait, took a pee, come back, still same, everybody i see unknown entity, myself also unknown entity. fine, fixed something to drink. come back still 7991ms, everything still not yet move, still lagged...that was about 20mins i waited. ALT+F4.

sigh. some of my mails will be bounced/gone liao if i don't check them soon..... :~

Just to brag, my all time latency will always be the 27,000+ ping I had in January 2005. That was nice. Can anyone beat that??? :o)

Anyway, ever since the Dire Maul patch (22nd March?), my daily latency has gone crazy. It's more than the usual 1k-2k (that is considered NORMAL for me now. On good days, it's 400-600). Currently I'm facing a daily ping of 4k-10k. It seems to rise by 2k after every minute. Eventually my Level 60 druid gets killed by them level 36 kobolds near Hammerfall (Refuge Point).

I'm just happy that I'm not alone in this problem. But this has been going on for over 2 weeks for me now, and it's getting annoying. Very annoying...

Sometimes I really wonder how with all the superb high pings and all we can still stay in the game for so long without getting linkdeath or something. Can anyone please tell me how is this possible. Anyway, this just brings to the fragile state we are all in...so totally dependend on the scremyx service that we will be left with an unplayable game if they failed to buck up. I mean the undersea cable being disrupted happened only like last November right? Just a few months later and it screws up again? Just how many times does the cable need to screw up in a year?

p/s: I am really pissed now. Just a few days ago, I found a cyber cafe that allows me to play WoW normally(400ms on average) after 2 weeks of 2k pings at my home PC. I though at least with the cyber cafe, I could kind of immerse myself into the game once again. How wrong I am! Who would have known that the worst has yet to come.


I take back what I said...found Autosurf and guess what 210ms latency. Awesome. Guess I am so here until they fix the streamyx shit.

i dont know what happened, previously changing the the connection IP to 218.202 .... will solve the problem, but now the lag is even worse ... sometimes it reaches 27000 ms = 27 ms . WTF is this ... i'm paying good money for nothing ...

Me face dam lagging yesteday...My latency normal is ~400+ but yesterday sot liao...up until 11k....Starting i tot is server problem..but i ask my frenz(US) all in good latency...only me that high...Even my frenz from Singapore also ~1k+ even lag. After that i call to Telekom streamyx teachnical find out whats going on with my area line problem...them sa is because gateway got problem , so whole national line also face the same problem connecting slow or cant connect it.

If u at high population sever is more lag whn u inside many player place like some main city. If this few day i think is because the network problem same like me....

Hmm I'm thinking that TM Net should reserve traffic for gamers, which excludes the 'normal' community's. Who needs good latency more than anything else?

These normal web surfers use e-mail, yahoo, hotmail. They dont realise if there's 1-2 secs delay.

This is the only way for Malaysia/Telekom to move forward. "Know your stuff"! And we'll forgive you for being IT illiterate.

They should offer a 'gaming package' with better download/upload speed ration. I wouldn't mind paying the extra cost if it's like rm10-25 extra!

PS: The net's so slow that when I enter the game, it hangs while loading!
