Hi, I heard my friend said theres a lot of complaints in this forum about latency problems with Streamyx to WoW, so I registered just for this tongue.gif

I've called them so many times, and everytime they say they will reply the next day. Ofcourse they never did and I have to get back to them, with an answer that they already did something, like reset my port and stuff, but then its always the same thing. Its not only to WoW, im having a hard time browsing international webs and downloading from BT is like 2KB average w00t! And I've been facing this problem for almost 3 weeks now. Guess what? My ping in WoW is on 3k at best, 4k on average, and it can go all the way up to 6k and stay there.

You guys told to call the technicians instead of the operators. I did actually and he asked me to bypass my router and stuff. What the heck lol I'm not going to do that as I need my router to act as a firewall. But then I guess I'll call both sides for now.

Ok now for the IP thing. My neighbour is using a 219, and he doesnt have much problems. Ping range between 500 to 800, thats average to bearable. But me on the other hand, well I've said it just now, basically its unplayable. And for the changing IP thing... I tried, plucking out phone lines, switching off my router, modem, even my com, and reset the connection through my router. Guess what? I've tried for like 80 times at least, with a 100% 192.xxx result. Can I have some tips here as to how you guys really do it? Thanks in advance.

Btw, if they ask you to test the speed o'meter from streamyx site, dont trust it. The meter can show very good results sometimes while the problem is still there. Use this instead.

www.numion.com

This calculates ur connection through international sites instead of our local tmnut servers, this site's result matters more than the speed o'meter.

Well actually I've went to desolated places like Shimmering Flats, its no different than the AH, tho the AH is wee bit worse. And in order to play I have to bring my PC over to my neighbours house. Using the same com, I dont lag there, pings are at an average of 550ms. To add to that, this problem only arrose around 3 weeks ago, where theres no problem before I was level 32, no problems during the open beta too. One thing wierd tho is that my neighbour is using the same 219.95.xx IP as me.

Man I'm always posting it wrong. What I meant all the while was 219 not 195, gonna edit it later.

And nope, I doubt they fixed anything. You can check your speed with international websites here.

Yea Lost, its a lil better in the morning, but as you said it gets progressively worse towards the evening vmad.gif But you know when it starts to get better? Maybe I can start playing at that hour huh.gif

Today I called again for the fifth time, got an answer that my case was closed shocking.gif Wow is this the way they do things? So I was forced to make a second report. This time the technician called tho, and said will get back to me soon. I wonder what will happen this time whistling.gif

Was PKing at Stranglethorn around 6am and suddently everything froze.... And couldnt manage to get back again. Luckily the rogue fled halfway, donno why. (Checked later that I was alive)

Anyway, when we called them at 8:30am, they still have no idea whats happening. After that, as promised few days ago, they sent a bunch of guys over at 9:30am. Guess what? These guys arent even related to Streamyx!! Its just a bunch of telekom guys checking whether my phone line is working or not =.= Then they got stucked too and was confuse, and my friend was scolding and cursing streamyx in front of them lol.

Anyway, this is what I got from their customer support, that it will be back by tommorow. I dont know whether to believe them or not. Dint even bother to login cuz it took too long to get the realm page out, guess its at least 20k ping.

I'm getting 10k ms constant but it takes more than a minute for my messages to go through, or receive. Waited for 40 seconds for the mail box to load and gave up, couldnt quit the normal way so alt f4ed :/ Anyway, browsing through the main WoW web and forums are damn smooth, it was taking ages to load before this new problem arose.

Same here, suddently its like instant to anything I do which never happen before, ever, and suddently it lags a lot huh.gif When it loaded fast like it was previously connecting I was so happy I jumped around (Dont blame me, I'm having 3 weeks of unplayable lag previously) but then when it was unstable, I came here, and sighed. Anyhow, its some improvement, hope it will only get better unsure.gif

Login is very fast, as if its lagless, but 10 seconds into the game and the ping shoots up to 13k, and then everything freezes. Seems to me it got worse doh.gif

The ping for me is very bumpy. It can go as low as 500 and 3 minutes later it can shoot up to 1.3k, and repeat that sequence around every 3 minutes. Add in a few lag spikes every now and then too. The funny thing is, my friend thats staying oposite of my house, was having 219.95 since ancient times till now, and he never has any connection problem, having a ping at 400-800 all the time. With the exception of few days ago ofcourse.

4.07PM, got disconnected from WoW, and then everything goes back to like it was 1 month ago, the infamous 3k pings with huge delays. Cant browse many webs too. What is up this time? Or is it just temporary?

Shortly after that, it was a lagless game, like the day we first bought WoW. around 10 minutes after that DC again, now line is dead :/

Line is backup with no more spikes and a ping of 300-800. Delay is less than 1 second, I'm happy enough because this is way better than what I've endured for more than a month. Just hope things wont go worse...

Yes I'm always on 219. But then now it goes back to square one. Less spikes but ping is above a thousand, sometimes reaching 2k sigh. Can never trust that streamyx will get anything done before their deadline.

Are you sure the line is back to normal? Sure its less laggy now but 1.2k pings are still not acceptable. Everything has a big delay and the biggest problem is the positioning of ur enemies is all out.
