TMNET TEMPORARY SERVICE INTERRUPTION

This is to announce that TM Net Sdn Bhd's Internet service is currently experiencing a slight drop in performance caused by several outages due to service degradation at some of its international links to Singapore, Hong Kong, China, Korea, Japan, Thailand and United States.  Our multiple link providers which subscribe to the international carriers are still trying to restore their system for TM Net service.

TM Net is currently running slightly short on international capacity due to the problem.  The congestion will be alleviated as soon as the international carriers fully restore their services for our connectivity.  Meanwhile, we have taken immediate action to divert some traffic through our tmnet Eastgate service as well as to other back-up links to reduce the Internet international traffic congestion.  The international providers are carrying out rectification works in stages and we will be making an announcement when the service has resumed to normal.

TM Net Sdn Bhd apologizes for any inconvenience caused but at the same time we would like to assure you that what we are doing is necessary in order to restore the service as soon as possible.

Customers can call our TM Net Customer Interaction Center at 1-300-88-9515 or 1-300-88-1515 from 8:00 a.m. till midnight or email at custcare@tm.net.my for further enquiries about the service.

---------------------------------------------------------
Has the net line gotten worst ? or its the same (ping) ? I seriously hope they are talking about the problem we have been experiencing for 4 weeks, not a NEW PROBLEM that is occuring just today.

Guess, this means we don't have to goto Clickers, Wildside.

I hope they can fix it by this Sunday. I sorely missed my 16 hours WoW marathon every Sundays....yes...that whole day I play only to take a short break for food, a short nap and shower...lol thats my Sunday life...so pathetic...

Hmm 20k ping in IF...I give up...

I guess this is the best time to play some offline RPG that I should have played ages before. With that Morrowind: Bloodmoon comes to mind.

I'm almost sure of one thing though.. they aren't using all their backup.

Myloca.. part of telekom, has an entirely different gateway altogether I believe.. if you go to http://mips.myloca.com/trace/ and do a trace to us.logon.worldofwarcraft.com.. it uses UUNet(alterNET) as its main link to the US(WoW US servers specifically - they might have other links) and it gets about 200ms to at&t before getting filtered off wink.gif

They could, I believe, do quite a bit of work to reroute some traffic through that gateway.. but somehow they aren't doing it(too much red tape or bureaucracy??) .. probably because myloca customers pay a heck lot more than us peanuts stimyx customers wink.gif

I understand MYLoca in addition to being the gateway used by premium subscribers, is also used for critical concerns like embassies, the military, arge corporations, etc.

As such, I think it's totally out of the question that they would consider allowing all the pr0n and warez downloaders to flood their system tongue.gif

"Ekuse me sir, can I use your system to download Naruto ah?"
"No!"
"Aiya! Why so bad wan?'"

Was PKing at Stranglethorn around 6am and suddently everything froze.... And couldnt manage to get back again. Luckily the rogue fled halfway, donno why. (Checked later that I was alive)

Anyway, when we called them at 8:30am, they still have no idea whats happening. After that, as promised few days ago, they sent a bunch of guys over at 9:30am. Guess what? These guys arent even related to Streamyx!! Its just a bunch of telekom guys checking whether my phone line is working or not =.= Then they got stucked too and was confuse, and my friend was scolding and cursing streamyx in front of them lol.

Anyway, this is what I got from their customer support, that it will be back by tommorow. I dont know whether to believe them or not. Dint even bother to login cuz it took too long to get the realm page out, guess its at least 20k ping.
