Oh please dont tell me you even considering iFlix
IFlix is a no-no period.
I watch series in 720p and movie in 1080p with this box via kodi (i posted movie screenshot playing from hypptv box almost every other day in movie thread https://forum.lowyat.net/topic/3310717/+1220 ) i think you're also the active user there.

This box is very capable for my need and for most people's (people who is still using their living room for watching movie with surround speaker) not those with dedicated mini home theatre and not for those watching moving infront of computer. I hate redundancy.

I need ample space for the kodi to run smoothly in the box especially when it caches package and thumbnails, 20MB of iFlix is humongous for this box. the reason having 1.1GB space deters me to come to this thread complaining  "that's not even enough to stream a decent 1080p 45 minutes TV episode (2 - 4GB)." Which i never did coz i never faced this problem with movies i streamed from Quasar which i already proven in the aforementioned link.

anyone has experience with good box in the market. I plan to get one instead of tweaking with this white box further.

Then, it's not working properly. It should be able to detect right away and no login should be required. Same as the problem we had with iflix. Looks like even the pre-installed app still cannot.
Previously no issue to use it right away, now need login.

Where you see redundancy, I see efficiency. Not unlike say a Kancil vs a Bezza. No media room yet and the living room remains where the media action occurs. I get it, it works for simpler needs. I however require simple needs and don't want to be bogged down by easily surmountable limitations..

I installed version 2.16.1-2597 of Iflix in this box, just the same managed to launched but will not auto detect the free Iflix bundled with Unifi (till 31st Dec 2017).
This is a big difference as if I login with my own Iflix ID, I only get the validity period as per subscribed only.

Did they change the maintenance code after update?

Hmm... Are you using the default DNS servers from TM or custom? I'm using a custom one and can't help but think it might be related to why iFlix can't auto-detect the TM connection. Cuz I've even tried using a PC to visit their website and it still asks for login details. Can't switch DNS servers just yet.. Later..

My box updated by itself. Playstore gone, es file explore also gone. Luckly kodi still there.

I tried browser go to playstore website it show chrome/firefox installed, es file explore and a few other file browser installed.

So I cannot install those program anymore. It say installed but not in the box.

I am using the default DNS servers from TM. I didnt change anything, just log on to their webpage and Iflix auto detect that I am on Unifi and did not request any log in details.

I also tried while not connected to Unifi, if not connected to Unifi. Iflix webpage and app will request for login details.

I've got the update too but my ES File Explorer is still there..only playstore and all google stuff are gone..

I'm confused.. In your previous post, you mentioned that the iFlix app doesn't auto-detect and asks for login info. But now it does?
  Some had their file explorer removed.. Luckily yours was kept.

Go to google and search for google installer or 谷歌安装器 which is mostly use for china's android phone or china's android box as they dont have the google service on their phone. I already install back the google play store after the update.
